Kind Circle Meritorious Scholarship 2018: All you need to know

The rate of school dropout is alarming in the country despite the effective implementation of the Right to Education Act which calls for free education for all till 12 years of age. A recently released surprising government data shows that over 28 lakh children in the country are currently out of school.

According to a recent UNESCO report, over 264 million children and youths across the world don’t have access to basic education. So, here comes a crucial need to empower the underprivileged students who are deprived from the basic education.

Kind Circle Meritorious Scholarship was designed considering these very objectives. It was designed to serve as a promising scholarship that curtails dropouts and empowers students across the society strata to continue their education. The scholarship, which is posted on Learning with Vodafone, India's first multi-linguistic scholarship platform, features a comparatively relaxed selection criteria so that more and more students are benefitted.

Objective of Kind Circle Meritorious Scholarship

Buddy4Study India Foundation, country’s largest scholarship platform, has on November 5, 2017, launched the Kind Circle Meritorious Scholarship 2018.

The scholarship was launched with two clear objectives:

1. Curtailing school dropouts

With the launching of the Kind Circle Meritorious Scholarship, more number of students will get not only access to basic education but will also pursue higher education in different chosen fields. As a result, the school drop outs rate will come down and everyone will get access to education.

2. Empowering underprivileged children

The KindCircle Meritorious Scholarship an initiative to support meritorious students belonging to the underprivileged section of the society, having a zeal to pursue higher education. As a result, the underprivileged students are empowered, empowering the nation at large.

Scholarship benefit

With the objective to support meritorious students belonging to the backward section of society who want to pursue higher education, the scholarship will benefit students with up to INR 12,000 or actual tuition fee (whichever is less).

Who can apply for the scholarship

Candidates who are studying in Class IX to XII, pursuing Graduation or Vocational courses are eligible to apply for the scholarship.

The age limit for the candidate should be within 20.

The applicant should have annual family income of not more than INR 4 lakhs from all sources.

The candidate should have secured at least 60% or more marks in the last qualifying examination.

The objective of the relaxed eligibility criteria is to accommodate more number of students who are meritorious but have no financial assistance to support their education.

How to apply for the scholarship

Eligible candidates should visit the official website and register themselves there by using Facebook, Google Plus or Email account.

Once signed in, they should click on 'START APPLICATION' to start filling the form for the scholarship.

They need to fill in all the details and upload the required documents there and then click on the 'Submit' button.

On successful completion of online application process, the applicants will receive a confirmation email/SMS on their registered email id/mobile number.

They can also track the application status by logging into their account.

Selection process

The candidates for the Kind Circle Meritorious Scholarship 2018 will be selected on the basis of marks in the last examination.

A telephonic interview will also be conducted at the time of selection.

Last date of application

Students need to hurry up as the last date to apply for the scholarship is December 31.
