To help the development of technical education in the country, the government of India has been offering INR 12,400 per month to full-time GATE/ GPAT-qualified students. To avail of this scholarship, students must be pursuing AICTE-approved postgraduate programs from AICTE affiliated institutions.

Eligibility Criteria

Students must have 

• a valid GATE or GPAT score
• be enrolled in a full-time course

Scholarship Award

INR 12,400 per month under this scheme

Duration

Students will receive the scholarship amount for 24 months for their respective courses.

• S.N. Bose Scholars Postgraduate Program 2023

The Science & Engineering Board (SERB), Department of Science and Technology (DST), the Indo-U.S Science and Technology Forum (IUSSTF), WINstep Forward and the Government of India have partnered together to support the future innovators and thought leaders. This benefits students by providing them with the opportunity to develop a dynamic and transformative student exchange program in the premium institutions of India and the United States.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible, students must – 

• Be citizens of India
• Be pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s degree at a recognised university or institution in India
• Be pursuing Atmospheric and Earth Sciences, Engineering Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Physical Sciences and Mathematical and Computational Sciences are eligible to get this scholarship.

• Manohar Parrikar Goa Scholar Scheme for PG Programmers 2023

The Government of Goa with the help of the Department of Education has introduced a scholarship scheme for students pursuing postgraduate and doctoral studies. The scheme aims to promote talent in the state by identifying outstanding and meritorious candidates to provide this scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible, students must – 

• Be domiciles of Goa
• Be living in Goa for at least 15 years
• Have pursued their academic studies for a minimum period of 7 years in Goa

Non-Government funded Scholarships for PG Students

• Reliance Foundation PG Scholarship 2023

Reliance Foundation Scholarship aims to empower meritorious students to pursue their higher studies and contribute to the growth of the country.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible, students must – 

• Have secured a score of 550 – 1,000 in the GATE examination
• Be citizens of India
• Be enrolled in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics & Computing, Electrical/ or Electronics Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Renewable & New Energy, Material, Science & Engineering and Life Sciences
• Have appeared for the GATE examination and secured a score of 7.5 CGPA and above in their undergraduate courses

Duration

The scholarship will be provided for the duration of the post-graduation program.

Scholarship Award

Up to INR 6 Lakh

• Aditya Birla Scholarships 2023

The Aditya Birla Group offers these scholarships for management students to support their postgraduation journey. They are also providing an excellent opportunity for the most eligible candidates to work with them once they complete their studies.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Candidates must belong to the top 25% of their batch.
2. Scholars’ work, participation in a minimum of two forums on the campus, and scholars’ learnings to be assessed during the course of their programme
3. At least 60% of the assignments must have a rating of 7 on a 9-point scale.
4. Scholars must submit a 250-word write-up on ‘Being an Aditya Birla Scholar— experience sharing’
5. The data for the performance measurement must be submitted by the scholar and certified by the academic dean at their institute. The assessment is done based on the overall performance in all areas and no single factor will be a major determinant.

Scholarship Award

The MBA scholars are entitled to get up to INR 3 Lakh.

University-based Scholarships for PG Students

• Chandigarh University Scholarships 2023

Chandigarh University offers unique scholarship programs to help students continue with their higher studies and promote them to build a better future. They offer multiple scholarships for both undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) students. Some of the postgraduate scholarships are discussed below.

Early Bird Scholarship for PG Students 2023

1. Any graduate candidate who has already enrolled in a Master’s program (excluding an MBA program) can apply for this scholarship.
2. 15% scholarship will be awarded to students who have completed their graduation degree from the University of Chandigarh.
3. A 10% scholarship will be awarded to students who have e completed their graduation degree from other universities.

Covid Warrior Scheme

1. The University of Chandigarh is offering a new scholarship for all the students (UG and PG) whose parents are employees of the university.
2. Under this scheme, the university is considering a 10% concession on academic fees.

This scholarship scheme covers the expenses incurred for graduation and postgraduation courses offered at the University of Goa.

Dayanand Bandodkar Scheme for Higher Education for Orphans 2023

Students who have lost both their parents and are facing difficulties pursuing higher education due to a lack of financial resources are eligible to receive financial assistance for their graduation and postgraduation studies.

• Aga Khan Foundation International Scholarship 2023

The Aga Khan Foundation Scholarship is designed to provide financial assistance to deserving candidates. The scholarship also includes a rebate on tuition fees as well as livelihood expenses.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible, students must – 

• Not be more than 30 years old
• Be enrolled in a Master-level course
• Be domicile of India

Scholarship Award

1. Students will receive 50% scholarship grants and 50% loans under the scheme.
2. Living cost is also covered for students studying abroad under this scholarship scheme.
3. Tuition fees are also covered under this scheme.

Note: Students are not eligible to get travel expenses.

• Orange Tulip Scholarship 2023

The Nuffic Netherlands Education Support Office has launched Orange Tulip Scholarship for India this year. The foundation is supporting Indian students to pursue higher education. They are providing scholarships to rebate the whole tuition fee for students pursuing a postgraduate degree.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible, students must – 

• Be citizens of India and previously or currently not living/ pursuing any courses in the Netherlands
• Apply for a postgraduate degree in the Netherlands
• Be fluent in written and spoken English
• Have IELTS and TOEFL certificates
• Have secured at least 75% in their last qualifying examination

Candidates will get their entire tuition fee covered under this scholarship scheme for their postgraduate studies.
