Scholarships for North-East Students: Despite being one of the least developed regions in India, the North-East region (NER) has a high literacy rate. According to the Northeast Global Investors Summit, 2023, the North Eastern Region (NER) has a high literacy rate of 83%, which is higher than the national average of 74%. The NER also has a higher Gross Enrolment Ratio (GER) in elementary education than the national average, which shows that the NER is committed to providing access to education for all.
However, students from the NER face several challenges in pursuing higher education, including financial constraints. To promote higher education in the North Eastern Region (NER) of India, the Indian government has introduced several scholarships at the central and state levels to help them overcome these challenges and achieve their academic goals.
This article has been created for students to help them learn more about the different central and state government scholarships that are currently accepting applications from North-east students.
