These include a 100% scholarship for Scheduled Tribe (ST) students who gain admission to IITs and universities ranked within the top 150 of the QS World Rankings, a 75% scholarship for students pursuing commercial pilot training, and additional skill development schemes designed to support students in higher education and professional courses.

The Department of Social Justice, Empowerment & Tribal Affairs and the Directorate of Higher & Technical Education under the Government of Arunachal Pradesh and the Ministry of Tribal Affairs of the Government of India provide various scholarships to those students who are either permanent residents of Arunachal Pradesh or have the domicile of the said state. Umbrella Scheme for Education of ST Students Pre-Matric Scholarship, Arunachal Pradesh Award Details

Selected students get a monthly scholarship of up to INR 350 for a period of 10 months.
Up to INR 1,000 is given as an annual book and ad-hoc grant.
Students with disabilities studying in private un-aided recognised schools get additional allowances which are as follows:
INR 160 per month to blind students as a reader allowance.
INR 160 per month as transport allowance.
INR 160 per month to severely disabled students as an escort allowance.
INR 160 per month as a helper allowance.
A monthly coaching allowance of INR 240 to mentally-retarded and mentally ill students.

Umbrella Scheme for Education of ST Children Post Matric Scholarship, Arunachal Pradesh Award Details

Selected students receive fees for enrolment/registration, tuition, library, magazine, medical examination and other such fees.
Besides this, students also get up to INR 1,600 per annum as charges for study tours.
Thesis typing and printing charges up to a maximum of INR 1,600.
Additional allowance to ST students with disabilities.
An additional allowance of INR 1,200 for essential/prescribed books.
Also, a monthly allowance of up to INR 1,200.

Scheme for Award of Stipend to ST Students, Arunachal Pradesh Award Details

Selected candidates get a monthly stipend of up to INR 1,400 and an annual book grant of INR 1,000.

Scholarship for IIT Students Award Details

100% scholarship covering the entire course cost, including tuition and related academic expenses.

Scholarship for Top Global Universities (QS top 150) Award Details

100% scholarship covering tuition fees and other educational expenses.

Scholarship for Aspiring Pilots Award Details

75% of the total cost of obtaining a commercial pilot license will be covered by the state government.

Different scholarships carry different eligibility conditions which need to be fulfilled by the students in order to avail of their benefits. However, there is one key criterion that the applicants must fulfil and that is, the applicants must have a domicile of the state of Arunachal Pradesh.

The applicant must have the domicile of Arunachal Pradesh.
The applicant must belong to the category of Scheduled Tribe (ST).
The annual family income must not exceed INR 2 Lakh.
The candidate must be a regular, full-time student of class 9 or 10 studying in a recognised school.
The applicant must not be getting any other centrally-funded scholarship.

Umbrella Scheme for Education of ST Children Post Matric Scholarship, Arunachal Pradesh Eligibility Criteria

The applicant must have the domicile of Arunachal Pradesh.
ST student who has completed matriculation/ higher secondary/ any higher exam of a university are eligible.
The candidate must be studying in class 11 or above.
The annual family income must not be more than INR 2.5 Lakh.
The applicants who are pursuing education through correspondence mode are also eligible.
The candidates must not be availing of benefits from any other scholarship/stipend scheme.
All the children of the same parents/guardians are eligible.
Employed students on leave without pay for the entire duration of a full-time course.

Scholarship for Top Global Universities (QS top 150) Eligibility Criteria

Applicable for ST youths from Arunachal Pradesh.
