DTE Scholarship Maharashtra – FAQs
What is the last date to apply for the DTE Maharashtra Scholarship for the 2025ā26 academic year?
The last date to apply for the DTE Maharashtra Scholarship (RCSMSY and EBC/EWS schemes) for new applicants is March 31, 2025. The last date to apply may change if the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) extends it, which they usually announce on the official Mahadbt portal or through newspapers. Students are advised to submit their forms at least two weeks before the last date to avoid problems such as server errors or heavy website traffic at the last moment.
How can I apply for the DTE Scholarship online through the official portal?
To apply online for the DTE Maharashtra Scholarship, go to the official Mahadbt website at mahadbt.maharashtra.gov.in. Choose the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) department and select the correct scholarship scheme like Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Shikshan Shahu Yojana (RCSMSY) or Economically Backward Class (EBC) scholarship. Register using your Aadhaar number and mobile number, then fill in your personal, educational, and income details carefully.
How does Aadhaar-based DBT help me as a beneficiary?
Linking your scheme with Aadhaar ensures that no one else can claim your share of benefits by impersonating you. In the case of cash transfers, the money is sent directly to your Aadhaar-linked bank account, removing the need to approach multiple people or offices to receive your funds. You can choose which bank account you want to link with your Aadhaar, and all benefits will be credited to your latest Aadhaar-linked bank account. However, please note that you cannot split payments; all transfers will go only to the most recently linked account.
In what cases my DTE Scholarship application can be rejected, and what can I do about it?
Your DTE Scholarship application can be rejected for reasons like missing or incorrect documents, wrong income details, income above ā¹8 lakh per year, missing CAP allotment letter, or large file sizes during upload. To fix this, log in to the Mahadbt portal, check the rejection reason, and correct the issue such as re-uploading the right document or getting a valid income certificate. Submit the corrections within the allowed time. You can also visit your collegeās scholarship cell or call the DTE helpline (022-49150800) for help with appeals or resubmission.
I have multiple bank accounts linked to my Aadhaar. Which account can I use for making digital payments using my Aadhaar number?
You can use any of your linked bank accounts. While making an Aadhaar-based payment, you will be given the option to select the bank account you wish to use. This means you can choose your preferred bank each time you make a payment.
