DTE Scholarship 2023-24 – Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra State is a world-class, globally competitive, and flexible higher education institution responsive to the individual, institutional, and socio-developmental needs of the people of Maharashtra. It is working towards developing technical manpower to meet the needs of the industry and the growth of the economy. DTE Scholarship is a broader term that mainly comprises two scholarships namely, Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Shikshan Shulkh Shishyavrutti Yojna and Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Vasatigruh Nirvah Bhatta Yojna.

DTE Scholarship 2023-24 – The Complete List

As specified earlier, the DTE scholarship majorly covers two scholarships which are listed on the mahaDBT portal, the top scholarship portal in Maharashtra. DTE Scholarship 2023-24 – Eligibility

The key eligibility condition that a student needs to fulfil to apply for the DTE scholarship is that the candidate should be a domicile or permanent resident of Maharashtra state. Students from outside the state are not eligible for these scholarships. Additionally, there are several other conditions that students need to fulfil current academic qualifications and financial needs. Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Shikshan Shulkh Shishyavrutti Yojna

  • The applicant should be an Indian national and domiciled in Maharashtra.
  • The candidate should be a ‘Bonafide Student of the Institute’ and admitted for Professional and Technical.
  • The applicants from the deemed university are not eligible.
  • The candidates should be admitted through a Centralised Admission Process (CAP).
  • The applicants cannot avail of any other scholarship while applying for this.
  • For the current academic year, only 2 children from a family are allowed to benefit from the scheme.
  • The total annual income of the family should not exceed ₹8,00,000.
  • A minimum of 50% attendance in the previous semester is required.
  • During the course duration, the candidate should not have had a gap of two or more years.

Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Vasatigruh Nirvah Bhatta Yojna

Career Assessment Test

  • The applicant should be an Indian national and domiciled in Maharashtra.
  • The candidate should be a Bonafide Student of the Institute and admitted for Professional and Technical.
  • The applicants from the deemed university are not eligible.

DTE Scholarship 2023-24 – Awards

There are variable awards granted to domicile students of Maharashtra under the DTE scholarship which can be accessed via the mahaDBT portal. The scholarship award is disbursed to students on the basis of two major criteria namely, academic merit and financial need. Award Details of DTE Scholarship in Maharashtra

Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Shikshan Shulkh Shishyavrutti Yojna

Award – The applicants of this fellowship will receive 50% of the tuition Fees and 50% of the exam fee.

Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Vasatigruh Nirvah Bhatta Yojna

Awards: The scholarship award is applicable for the children of Registered Labor/Alpabhudharak (Marginal Land Holders) and is as follows:

Buddy4Study - Education Loan

  • ₹30,000 awarded to students studying in the institutes of MMRDA/PMRDA/Aurangabad City/Nagpur City for 10 months
  • ₹20,000 for 10 months for students in other areas

Students whose annual family income is up to 8,00,000 will be given the following awards:

  • ₹10,000 awarded to students studying in the institutes of MMRDA/PMRDA/Aurangabad City/Nagpur City for 10 months
  • ₹8,000 for 10 months for students in other areas

DTE Scholarship 2023-24 – Documents Required

The online application to a DTE scholarship remains incomplete if the applicants do not upload all the supporting documents.   • Mark sheet of 10th (S.S.C) & onwards
  • Domicile Certificate of Maharashtra State
  • Family annual income certificate
  • Undertaking of the current year, not more than two beneficiaries from the family
  • CAP Related document
  • Proof of Biometric attendance (through the Interface UIDAI).

Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Vasatigruh Nirvah Bhatta Yojna

  • Register Labor Certificate/Alpabhudharak (Marginal Land Holder) Certificate
  • Mark sheet of 10th (S.S.C) & onwards
  • Domicile Certificate of Maharashtra State
  • Family annual Income certificate
  • Undertaking of the current year, not more than two beneficiaries from the family
  • CAP Related document.
  • Proof of Biometric attendance (through the Interface UIDAI).

Note: The applicants who wish to opt for a hostel will be required to provide Hosteller documents. In the case of the private hostel or Paying Guest, an Agreement with the owner will be required.

DTE Scholarship 2023-24 – Application Process

The applicants can apply for the DTE scholarships through the Aaple Sarkar DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) portal. It is a unique platform run by the Government of Maharashtra for its citizens to help them avail benefits of different schemes available on it. It is mandatory for applicants to have a valid Aadhaar number to apply for any scholarship scheme through the portal.

The applicants are advised to go through the instructions carefully and get acquainted with all the requirements prior to filling up the scholarship form. Follow the steps below to apply for the scholarships on the Aaple Sarkar DBT portal:

Step 1: Visit the official website of the Aaple Sarkar DBT Portal.

Step 2: Go to the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) and check for scholarships. A new user primarily needs to register on the portal.

Step 3: Click on ‘New Applicant Registration’ to register.

Step 4: Provide the information of the Aadhar number and proceed.

Step 5: The applicants are required to authenticate their Aadhaar number. There are two types of authentication available.

  • OTP – If the applicant’s mobile number is registered with Aadhaar, then they can choose the authentication type – OTP
  • Biometric – If the mobile number is not registered with Aadhaar, then they can choose the authentication type as Biometric.

Note: Here, the OTP authentication process is being followed for the upcoming steps.

Step 6: Enter Aadhaar number and click on the ‘Send OTP’ button. The system validates the aadhaar number and sends the system-generated ‘OTP’ to the registered mobile number. Enter the OTP and click on the ‘OK’  tab.

Step 7: After the successful OTP verification, the applicant details fetched from UIDAI will be auto-populated in the personal details, address details, bank details, etc.

Step 8: Create a ‘User Name’ and ‘Password’ to access the portal.

Step 9: After the creation of login details, log in to the registered account by using the ‘Applicant Login’ tab.

Step 10: After successful login, the applicants can see the dashboard with listed available scholarships.

Step 11: Find DTE scholarships in the list and click on the ‘Apply’ button to start a new application.

Step 12: Complete the profile by providing all necessary information.

Step 13: Once the profile is updated, the applicants can go to the ‘All Schemes’ section and search for the scholarship under the Department of Technical Education.

Step 14:  A list of suggested scholarship schemes will appear. Select the scholarship to apply for.

Step 15: An application form will appear. Fill in all necessary details and upload all supporting documents (if not already uploaded).

Step 16: Finally, submit the application.

Ans.  AapleSarkar DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) is a portal launched by the Government of Maharashtra to transfer the benefits and subsidies of various social welfare schemes like E-Scholarships, Pensions, Disaster, etc., directly into the bank account of the beneficiary.

Q. How does the Aadhar-based DBT help the beneficiary?
Ans. The Aadhaar seeding scheme ensures that nobody else can claim a share of the benefits by impersonating the candidate.

Q. How to check the eligibility of the scheme?

Ans. The basic objective of the ‘Check Eligibility’ is to fetch relevant schemes that are applicable to the applicant on the basis of the input provided by the applicant for the eligibility check.
