DTE Scholarship – Eligibility
The key eligibility condition that a student needs to fulfill to apply for DTE scholarship is that he/she should be a domicile or permanent resident of Maharashtra state. Students from outside the state are not eligible for these scholarships. Additionally, there are several other conditions too that you need to fulfil related to your current academic qualifications and financial need. Detailed Eligibility of DTE Scholarship in Maharashtra
Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Shikshan Shulkh Shishyavrutti Yojna
- The applicant should be an Indian national.
- They should be domicile of Maharashtra state.
- The applicant should be a “Bonafide Student of Institute” and admitted for Professional and Technical.
- The applicants from the deemed university are not eligible.
- The candidates should be admitted through Centralized Admission Process (CAP).
- The applicants cannot avail of any other scholarship while applying for this.
- For the current academic year, only 2 children from a family are allowed to benefit from the scheme.
- The total annual income of the family should not exceed INR 8 Lakhs.
- A minimum of 50% attendance in the previous semester is required.
- During the course duration, the candidate should not have had a gap of two or more years.
Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Vasatigruh Nirvah Bhatta Yojna
- The applicant should be an Indian national.
- They should be domicile of Maharashtra state.

DTE Scholarship – Awards
There are variable awards granted to domicile students of Maharashtra under the DTE scholarship which can be accessed via the mahaDBT portal. The scholarship award is disbursed to students on the basis of two major criteria namely, academic merit and financial need. Award Details of DTE Scholarship in Maharashtra
Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Shikshan Shulkh Shishyavrutti Yojna
Award – The applicants of this fellowship will receive 50% of the tuition Fees and 50% of the exam fee.
Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Vasatigruh Nirvah Bhatta Yojna
Awards: The scholarship award is applicable for the children of Registered Labor/Alpabhudharak (Marginal Land Holders) and are as follows:
- INR 30,000 awarded to students studying in the institutes of MMRDA/PMRDA/Aurangabad City/Nagpur City for 10 months
- INR 20,000 for 10 months for students in other areas
Students whose annual family income is up to 8 Lakh will be given the following awards:
- INR 10,000 awarded to students studying in the institutes of MMRDA/PMRDA/Aurangabad City/Nagpur City for 10 months
- INR 8,000 for 10 months for students in other areas
DTE Scholarship – Application Process
The applicants can apply for DTE scholarship through Aaple Sarkar DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) portal. It is a unique platform run by the Government of Maharashtra for its citizens to help them avail benefits of different schemes available on it. It is mandatory for applicants to have a valid Aadhaar number to apply for any scholarship scheme through the portal.
The applicants are advised to go through the instructions carefully and get acquainted with all the requirements prior to filling up the scholarship form. Follow the steps below to apply for the scholarships on the Aaple Sarkar DBT portal:
Step 1: Visit the official website of the Aaple Sarkar DBT Portal. Go to the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) and check for scholarships. A new user primarily needs to register on the portal.
Step 2: Click on “New Applicant Registration” to register yourself.
Step 3: Provide the information of the Aadhar number and proceed.
Step 4: The applicants are required to authenticate their Aadhaar number. There are two types of authentication available.
- OTP – If the applicant’s mobile number is registered with Aadhaar, then they can choose the authentication type – OTP
- Biometric – If the mobile number is not registered with Aadhaar, then they can choose the authentication type as Biometric.
Note: Here, the OTP authentication process is being followed for the upcoming steps.
Step 5: Enter Aadhaar number and click on “Send OTP” button. The system validates the aadhaar number and sends the system-generated “OTP” to the registered mobile number. Enter the OTP and click on the “OK” tab.
Step 6: After the successful OTP verification, the applicant details fetched from UIDAI will be auto-populated in the personal details, address details, bank details etc.
Step 7: Create a “User Name” and “Password” to access the portal.
Step 8: After the creation of login details, log in to the registered account by using the “Applicant Login” tab.
Step 9: After successful login, the applicants can see the dashboard with listed available scholarships.
Step 10: Find DTE scholarships in the list and click on the “Apply” button to start a new application.
Step 11: Complete the profile by providing all necessary information.
Step 12: Once the profile is updated, the applicants can go to the “All Schemes” section and search for the scholarship under the Department of Technical Education.
Step 13: A list of suggested scholarship schemes will appear. Select the scholarship to apply for.
Step 14: An application form will appear. Fill in all necessary details and upload all supporting documents (if not already uploaded).
Step 15: Finally, submit the application.
DTE Scholarship – Documents Required
