These scholarships are meant for economically weak students who are domiciled in Maharashtra. Which are those scholarships? When is the right time to apply for these scholarships? DTE Scholarship – Eligibility

The key eligibility condition that a student needs to fulfill to apply for DTE scholarship is that he/she should be a domicile or permanent resident of Maharashtra state. The students from outside the state are not eligible for these scholarships. Additionally, there are several other conditions too that you need to fulfill related to your current academic qualifications and financial need. Detailed Eligibility of DTE Scholarship in Maharashtra

  • The candidates should be admitted through Centralized Admission Process (CAP).
  • The applicants cannot avail any other scholarship while applying for this.
  • For the current academic year, only 2 children from a family are allowed for benefit of the scheme.
  • A total annual income of the family should not exceed INR 8 Lakhs.
  • The minimum 50 % attendance in the previous semester is required.
  • During the course duration, the candidate should not have had a gap of two or more years.
2. Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Vasatigruh Nirvah Bhatta Yojna
  • The applicant should be an Indian national.
  • They should be domicile of Maharashtra state.
  • The applicant should be ”Bonafide Student of Institute” and admitted for Professional and Technical.

DTE Scholarship – Awards

There are variable awards granted to domicile students of Maharashtra under DTE scholarship which can be accessed via the mahaDBT portal. The scholarship award is disbursed to students on the basis of two major criteria namely, academic merit and financial need.   • The applicants of this fellowship will receive 50 % of Tuition Fees and 50 % of Exam Fee.

 

2. Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Vasatigruh Nirvah Bhatta Yojna
  • The award is for the child of Registered Labor/Alpabhudharak (Marginal Land Holder) is as follows:
  • Scholarship worth INR 30,000 is awarded to students in the institutes in MMRDA / PMRDA / Aurangabad City / Nagpur City for the period of 10 months.
  • Scholarship worth INR 20,000 for 10 months for students in other areas.
  • Students whose annual family income is up to 8 Lakhs will be given the following awards:
  • Applicants who belong to the institutes in MMRDA / PMRDA/ Aurangabad City / Nagpur City will be awarded INR 10,000 for 10 months.
  • Scholarship worth INR 8,000 for students in other areas for the period of 10 months.

DTE Scholarship – Application Process

The applicants can apply for DTE scholarship through Aaple Sarkar DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) portal. It is a unique platform run by the Government of Maharashtra for its citizens to help them avail benefits of different schemes available on it. From the academic session 2018-19 onwards, having an Aadhaar number is a mandatory requirement to apply for any scholarship scheme through the portal. The applicants are advised to go through the instructions carefully and get acquainted with all the requirements prior to filling up the scholarship form. Follow the steps below to apply for the scholarships on Aaple Sarkar DBT portal:

Step 1: The applicant first needs to visit the home page of the Aaple Sarkar DBT Portal. Go to the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) and check for the scholarships. A new user primarily needs to register on the portal.

Step 2: Click on “New Applicant Registration” to register yourself.

Step 3: Provide the information of Aadhar number and proceed.

Step 4: The applicants are required to authenticate their Aadhaar number. There are two types of authentication available.

  • OTP – If the applicant’s mobile number is registered with Aadhaar, then they can choose authentication type- OTP
  • Biometric – If the mobile number is not registered with Aadhaar, then they can choose authentication type as Biometric.

Note: Here we have proceeded with the OTP authentication process.

Step 5: Enter Aadhaar number and click on “Send OTP” button. The system validates the aadhaar number and sends the system generated “OTP” to the registered mobile number. Enter the OTP and click on “OK” button.

Step 6: After the successful OTP verification, the applicant details fetched from UIDAI will be auto-populated in the personal details, address details, bank details etc.

Step 7: Create a “User Name” and “Password” to access the portal.

Step 8: After the creation of login details, log in to the registered account by using “Applicant Login” button.

Step 9: After successful login, the applicants can see the dashboard with listed available scholarships.

Step 10: Find DTE scholarships in the list and click on “Apply” button to start a new application.

Step 11: Complete the profile by providing all necessary information.

Step 12: Once the profile is updated, the applicants can go to the “All Schemes” section and search for the scholarship under the Department of Technical Education.

Step 13:  A list of suggested scholarship schemes will appear. Select the scholarship to apply for.

Step 14: An application form will appear. Fill in all necessary details and upload all supporting documents (if not already uploaded).

Step 15: Finally, submit the application.

DTE Scholarship – Documents Required

The online application to a DTE scholarship remains incomplete if the applicants do not upload all the supporting documents.   • The applicant needs to upload mark sheet of 10th (S.S.C) & onwards.
  • They need to provide domicile Certificate of Maharashtra State.
  • They should provide a family annual Income certificate.
  • They also have to provide an undertaking “In the current year, not more than 2 beneficiaries from family”.
  • They would also need to submit a CAP Related document.
  • The applicants would also need a proof of Biometric attendance (through the Interface UIDAI).
  • The applicants who wish to opt for hostel would require to provide Hosteller documents. In case of the private hostel or Paying Guest, Agreement with the owner will be required.

Q. What is AapleSarkar DBT?
A.  AapleSarkar DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) is a portal launched by Government of Maharashtra to transfer the benefits and subsidies of various social welfare schemes like E-Scholarships, Pension, Disaster, etc., directly into the bank account of the beneficiary.

Q. How does the Aadhar based DBT help the beneficiary?
A. Aadhaar seeding your scheme ensures that nobody else can claim a share of the benefits by impersonating the candidate.

Q. How to check the eligibility of the scheme?

A. The basic objective of the “Check Eligibility” is to fetch relevant schemes that are applicable to the applicant on the basis of the input provided by the applicant for eligibility check.

Q. Can the application form be edited after submission?

A. Yes, if the institute sends back the application to the student for modification, the applicant can modify some specific fields.
