Aikyashree Scholarship 2025 – Eligibility Criteria
Below are the eligibility criteria for the five government scholarships available through the Aikyashree Scholarship Portal, administered by the West Bengal Minorities’ Development and Finance Corporation:
1) West Bengal Pre-Matric Scholarship
- The student must be a domicile of West Bengal.
- They must be studying in Class 9 or 10.
- They must belong to either the SC or ST category.
- The annual family income of the student should not exceed ₹2 lakh.
2) West Bengal Post-Matric Scholarship
- The student must be a domicile of West Bengal.
- The student must belong to either SC, ST or OBC category.
- Eligible students must be studying in Class 11, 12, Graduation, or Postgraduation.
- The annual family income of the student should not exceed ₹1 lakh for OBC, ₹2 Lakh for SC and ₹2.5 Lakh for ST category students.
3) Merit cum Means Scholarship
- The student must be a domicile of West Bengal.

The student must be pursuing graduation in Engineering, Medical and Technical/Professional courses if they are not studying the general Undergraduate or Postgraduate level degree courses.
- If the student is studying at the higher secondary level or pursuing a diploma, they must have secured at least 75% marks in Class 10.
- If the student is studying at the undergraduate level, they must have secured at least 75% marks in class 12th.
- The annual family income of the student should not exceed ₹2.5 lakh.
- Scholarships will be sanctioned to deserving students on merit-cum-means criteria.
- Students pursuing M.Phil. courses and Doctoral courses from state-aided institutions are also eligible to apply for this scholarship.
4) Post-Matric Stipend under the Talent Support Program (TSP)
- The applicant must be a permanent resident of West Bengal.
- The applicant must belong to one of the notified minority communities, namely Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain, or Parsi.
- The student must be enrolled in a recognized institution within West Bengal, pursuing education from Class 11 up to PhD level in regular full-time courses.
- The annual family income of the applicant must not exceed ₹2 lakh.
The applicant should not be receiving any other scholarship or financial assistance from the government or any private organization at the time of applying for this stipend. - The student must have secured the required minimum marks in the last qualifying examination:

5) Swami Vivekananda Merit-cum-Means Scholarship Scheme for Minorities (SVMCM)

- The student must have passed the last qualifying examination in the current academic year from a recognized institution affiliated or accredited to WBBSE/WBCHSE/WBBME/CBSE/ISC or a university situated in West Bengal.

Renewal Eligibility Criteria for SVMCM – Candidates must have secured a minimum of 60% aggregate marks (combined across both semesters) from Higher Secondary to Undergraduate level, and a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (combined across both semesters) at the Postgraduate level.

How to Apply for Aikyashree Scholarship 2025?
Students can apply for the scholarships by following the below steps:
Step 1: Visit the official Aikyashree portal at wbmdfcscholarship.in and click on the ‘Student Panel’ option.
Step 2: If you are a new user and want to register, click on ‘Fresh Registration 2024-25’, and if you want to renew your application, click on ‘Renew your Application 2024-25’. Students who are already registered can click on ‘Registered Student’s Login’ to continue.
Step 3: Students who are new and registering will be required to select their district in the next step.
Step 4: After selecting the district, the application form will open. Fill in all the required details step by step.
Students who wish to change their district can click on the ‘Change’ option given at the top of the dashboard to update it.
Step 5: Once you reach the “Registration Successful” stage and complete your details, before submission, a pop-up will appear asking for confirmation: ‘You are eligible for <scheme_name>Do you wish to continue?’
Step 6: Once you click on ‘Continue’ and proceed, the registration will be successful. A notification with your application ID for future reference will appear on your dashboard.
Step 7: As soon as the registration is completed, use your credentials and click on the login button to sign in.

Step 2: Click on the Renewal Application option, which will open a new window. Now, select the district and click OK on the dialogue box appearing on the screen.
Step 3: Log in by entering your Application ID, Date of Birth, district and Captcha code and click the ‘Login’ button.
Step 4: An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number. Enter the sent OPT and click submit.
Step 5: You will see two options – Renew Application and Withdraw Application. Click on Renew Application.
Step 6: Fill in the required details in the registration form, such as Name, Date of Birth, Email ID, Parent’s Name, Gender, Religion, etc. and click on ‘Submit and Next’ button.
