22 July 2022, NEW DELHI, NSP 2022: The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has released a notification inviting applications for numerous scholarship programmes on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) for the session 2022–23. The registration started on July 20, 2022 and the last date to register is December 31, 2022. Candidates can apply by visiting scholarships.gov.in
AICTE is welcoming registration for a total of six scholarship schemes: AICTE-Pragati Scholarship Scheme for Girl Students (Degree), AICTE-Pragati Scholarship Scheme for Girl Students (Diploma), AICTE-Saksham Scholarship Scheme for Specially Disabled Students (Degree), AICTE-Saksham Scholarship Scheme for Specially Disabled Students (Diploma), AICTE-Swanath Scholarship Scheme (Degree), and AICTE-Swanath Scholarship Scheme (Diploma).
The AICTE also tweeted via its official twitter handle regarding the opening of these scholarships. The tweet said, “National Scholarship Portal for submission of online forms (Fresh & Renewal cases) for AICTE-Pragati Scholarship Scheme for Girl Students, Saksham Scholarship Scheme for Specially-abled students & Swanath Scholarship Scheme has been opened w.e.f. 20/07/2022 till 31/10/2022.”

AICTE-NSP Scholarships – Eligibility Criteria
AICTE-Pragati Scholarship Scheme for Girl Students (Degree)
- Only female candidates are eligible to apply.
- Candidates must be enrolled either in the first or the second year of a technical degree programme in an AICTE-recognised university.
- Only two female children per family are eligible to apply.
- Total annual family income of the candidate should not exceed Rs. 8 lakh.
AICTE-Pragati Scholarship Scheme for Girl Students (Diploma)
- Only female candidates are eligible to apply.
- Candidates must be enrolled either in the first or the second year of a technical diploma programme in an AICTE-recognised institution.
- Only two female children per family are eligible to apply.
- Total family income should not exceed Rs. 8 lakh per year.
AICTE-Saksham Scholarship Scheme for Specially Disabled Students (Degree)
- Candidates must not have a disability of less than 40%.
- Candidates must be enrolled either in the first or the second year of a technical degree programme in an AICTE-recognised university.
- Total family income should not exceed Rs. 8 lakh per year.
AICTE-Saksham Scholarship Scheme for Specially Disabled Students (Diploma)
- Candidates must not have a disability of less than 40%.
- Candidates must be enrolled either in the first or the second year of a technical diploma programme in an AICTE-recognised institution.
- Total family income should not exceed Rs. 8 lakh per year.
AICTE-Swanath Scholarship Scheme (Degree and Diploma)
- The candidate must either be an orphan, or someone whose parents died during the COVID pandemic, or be the ward of a martyred army or central paramilitary forces employee.
- Candidates must be enrolled in either the first, second, third, or fourth year of a technical degree or diploma programme in an AICTE-recognised institution.
- Total family income should not exceed Rs. 8 lakh per year.
- The candidate must not be a government scholarship awardee.
AICTE-NSP Scholarships – How to Apply?
- Visit the official website of NSP – scholarships.gov.in.
- Click on the ‘AICTE Scholarships’ option.
- A new user will have to register before applying for the scholarship.
- Candidates will receive their login credentials via email after completing the registration process.
- Candidates must then log in to the National Scholarship Portal using the same credentials.
- Then, candidates must fill in the application form.
- Finally, they need to submit the application form and save a copy for future reference.
