Uttarakhand Scholarship – Key Eligibility

Are you a domicile or permanent resident of Uttarakhand state? If yes, then you surely are a contender for Uttarakhand scholarship. This is the primary eligibility criteria that you need to fulfil to be eligible for the scholarships. Besides this, there are several other conditions too, that you need to fulfil. These conditions majorly depend on your current class of study and the annual income of the family. Detailed Eligibility Criteria of Uttarakhand Scholarship

OBC The students pursuing studies in class 11 or above can apply for this scholarship.

They must have passed the last qualifying examination.

The annual income of the family should be less than INR 1 Lakh.

Post-Matric Scholarship for SC Students Uttarakhand
SC The students who are pursuing their studies class 11 onwards are eligible for the scholarship.

They must have passed their last qualifying examination.

The annual income of the family should be less than INR 2.5 Lakh.

3.
Post-Matric Scholarship for ST Students, Uttarakhand
ST The scholarship is applicable for students studying in class 11 to the postdoctoral level who have passed the last qualifying examination.

The annual income of the family should be less than INR 2,50,000.

The candidates who are already in receipt of any other scholarship are not eligible to apply.

Pre-Matric Scholarship for SC Students (State/Center Sector), Uttarakhand
SC The scholarship is open for students of class 1 to 10.

It is mandatory to have passed the last qualifying examination.

The annual income of the family for students of class 9 and 10 should not exceed INR 2 Lakh.

There is no income limit for students of class 1 to 8.

Pre-Matric Scholarship for OBC Students (State and Central Sector), Uttarakhand
OBC The scholarship is open for students of class 1 to 10 who are studying at a recognised school within the state.

They must have passed the last qualifying examination.

The annual income of the family should not be more than INR 44,500.

6.
Pre-Matric Disability Scholarship (State Sector), Uttarakhand
For all The students with a disability who are studying in class 1 to 10 at a recognised school within or outside the state can apply for this scholarship.

They must have passed the last qualifying examination.

The annual income of the family should not exceed INR 24,000.

7.
Pre-Matric Scholarship for ST Students (State/Center Sector), Uttarakhand
ST The students of class 1 to 10 are eligible for this scholarship.

They must be studying in a recognised school within the state and have passed the last qualifying examination.

The annual income of the family should not exceed INR 2 Lakh from all sources (for students of class 9 and 10).

For students of class 1 to 8, no income criteria are applicable.

Post Matric Scholarship for EBC Students – Uttarakhand

General The students pursuing studies at post-matric level (class 11 to postdoctoral level) at an institution recognised by the government.

The annual income of the family should be less than INR 1 Lakh from all sources.

The students pursuing their studies through distance learning or correspondence can also apply.

Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme for Minority (100 percent State Sector), Uttarakhand
Minority community The students belonging to any of the following minority groups can apply –
  1. Christianity
  2. Muslim
  3. Jain
  4. Parsi
  5. Sikh
  6. Buddhism

They must be studying in class 1 to 10 at a recognised institution within the state.

They must have passed the last qualifying examination.

The annual income of the family should be less than twice of current income slab of below poverty line.

Uttarakhand Scholarship – Application Process

Since all the scholarships are being offered by the Social Welfare Department of Government of Uttarakhand, the application process to follow for each Uttarakhand scholarship remains the same. You can apply for any of these scholarships online only through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP), a one-stop scholarship application portal run by the Government of India. To apply for the scholarships, you need to primarily register on the NSP and then apply for the desired scholarship either under the pre-matric category or post-matric category.

Reimbursement of compulsory non-refundable fees

Thesis typing as well as printing charges of up to INR 1000 (for research scholars)

Uttarakhand Scholarship – Key Documents to Prepare

What are the important documents required to fill in the Uttarakhand scholarship application form? Though every scholarship has its own set of pre-requisites, some of the common documents that you need to prepare well before filling the application include –
