There are multiple scholarships offered by the Bihar state government for Bihar students who have passed Class 10 & 12 exams. Even those who are preparing for the civil services and have passed the preliminary exam are encouraged by the government to push through with the help of Bihar Mukhyamantri Atyant Pichhda Varg Civil Seva Protsahan Yojana. Though each Bihar scholarship has its own set of eligibility criteria to be followed, the one common condition that is applicable for all Bihar scholarships is that they are available for students who are domiciled in Bihar state only. Bihar Post Matric Scholarship (PMS) for SC/ST Category
इस योजना का उद्देश्य उच्च शिक्षा में अनुसूचित जाति/अनुसूचित जनजाति के विद्यार्थियों के सकल नामांकन अनुपात में वृद्धि करना है, तथा सबसे गरीब परिवारों के विद्यार्थियों पर विशेष ध्यान दिया जाना है, ताकि उन्हें Class 10 या Class 12 स्तर पर वित्तीय सहायता प्रदान की जा सके, ताकि वे अपनी शिक्षा पूरी कर सकें।
श्रेणी: अनुसूचित जाति (SC)/अनुसूचित जनजाति (ST) के लिए
पात्रता मानदंड:
- छात्र बिहार का निवासी होना चाहिए
- आवेदक बिहार की अनुसूचित जाति (SC) या अनुसूचित जनजाति (ST) श्रेणी से संबंधित होना चाहिए
- माता-पिता की वार्षिक पारिवारिक आय सभी स्रोतों से ₹2,50,000 से अधिक नहीं होनी चाहिए

मुख्यमंत्री पिछड़ा वर्ग एवं अत्यंत पिछड़ा वर्ग (BC-EBC) प्रवेशिकोत्तर छात्रवृत्ति योजना केवल बिहार राज्य के अन्दर अवस्थित सभी सरकारी एवं मान्यता प्राप्त गैर सरकारी संस्थानों में प्रवेशिकोत्तर पाठ्यक्रमों में अध्ययनरत् पिछड़ा वर्ग एवं अत्यंत पिछड़ा वर्ग के छात्र / छात्राओं के लिए है।
श्रेणी: पिछड़े वर्गों (BC)/आर्थिक रूप से पिछड़े वर्गों (EBC) के लिए
पात्रता मानदंड:
- छात्र बिहार का मूल निवासी/निवासी होना चाहिए।
- आवेदक बिहार के पिछड़े वर्ग (बीसी) या आर्थिक रूप से पिछड़े वर्ग (ईबीसी) श्रेणी से संबंधित होना चाहिए।
- माता-पिता की वार्षिक पारिवारिक आय सभी स्रोतों से ₹2,50,000 for BC और ₹3,00,000 for EBC से अधिक नहीं होनी चाहिए।

Mukhyamantri Kanya Utthan Yojana, Bihar
इस Bihar scholarship का उद्देश्य कन्या भ्रूण हत्या को रोकना, बालिकाओं के जन्म को प्रोत्साहित करना, लिंग अनुपात में वृद्धि करना, जन्म पंजीकरण को प्रोत्साहित करना, 2 वर्षीय बालिकाओं का पूर्ण टीकाकरण, बालिका मृत्यु दर को कम करना, बालिका शिक्षा को बढ़ावा देना, बाल विवाह पर रोक लगाना और कुल प्रजनन दर को कम करना तथा बालिकाओं को आत्मनिर्भर बनाकर समाज की मुख्यधारा में लाना है। माता-पिता को बालिका के जन्म के समय मुख्यमंत्री कन्या उत्थान योजना के लिए पंजीकरण कराना होगा।
श्रेणी – महिला छात्राओं के लिए
पात्रता मानदंड:
- आवेदक लड़की हो और बिहार की स्थायी निवासी हो।
- यह परिवार की केवल दो बालिकाओं को ही दिया जाता है।
पुरस्कार:
- बालिका के जन्म पर ₹2,000 की राशि दी जाती है।
- बालिका के एक वर्ष की आयु पूर्ण होने पर ₹1,000 प्रदान किया जाता है।
- वार्षिक इंटरमीडिएट परीक्षा में प्रथम श्रेणी से उत्तीर्ण होने वाले छात्रों को ₹25,000 मिलेंगे।
- वार्षिक इंटरमीडिएट परीक्षा में द्वितीय श्रेणी से उत्तीर्ण होने वाले छात्रों को ₹15,000 मिलेंगे।

The Chief Minister Kanya Utthan Yojana for 10+2, Bihar is a government initiative aimed at supporting girl students pursuing post-matric education in Bihar. This scholarship aims to promote girl child education and under this scheme, eligible students will receive a one-time financial assistance to cover their educational expenses.

बिहार में अनुसूचित जाति और अनुसूचित जनजाति (SC/ST) की मेधावी छात्राओं को प्रोत्साहित करने के लिए मुख्यमंत्री मेधावृत्ति योजना की शुरुआत की गई है। इस योजना के अंतर्गत, बिहार विद्यालय परीक्षा समिति (बिहार बोर्ड) से प्रथम या द्वितीय श्रेणी में 12वीं कक्षा उत्तीर्ण करने वाली छात्राओं को स्कॉलरशिप के रूप में आर्थिक सहायता प्रदान की जाती है।

There is no centralised scholarship portal to apply for all the Bihar scholarships, thus, students need to visit different state government websites to apply for the scholarships. Below, we have provided the steps students need to take to apply for all the Bihar scholarships.
Bihar Post Matric Scholarship Application Process
The Bihar Post Matric Scholarship application process is the same for BC/EBC and SC/ST categories. Students can apply for the scholarship they are eligible for by following the steps mentioned below.
Step 1: First, go to the official website of Bihar Post Matric Scholarship (PMS) portal link https://pmsonline.bihar.gov.in.
Step 2: Now, either click on the ‘BC/EBC – Student Login’ button or click on the ‘Go to SC/ST Portal’ and then click on the ‘SC/ST – Student Login’ button.
Step 3: Next, click on the ‘New Students Registration for (BC-EBC 2025-26) (नए छात्रों का पंजीकरण (BC-EBC 2025-26 हेतु))’ to start the registration process.
Step 4: Now a new page with all the guidelines will be displayed on the screen and you need to read them and then click on the ‘Continue’ button at the bottom of the page.
Step 5: Now the Bihar PMS scholarship application process will start, and you need to provide your personal details like name, Aadhar card number, gender, date of birth, mobile number and email ID. Choose a password and then fill in the captcha to complete this step.
Step 6: Now you will be registered, and a preview of your application will be shown on the screen. Click on Register Here if all the information you entered is correct.
Step 7: Then you will see a registration confirmation page where you will get your login ID and password. Next, you need to go back to the login page as shown in steps 1, 2 and 3 and use your credentials to get access to your Bihar scholarship account.
Step 8: Your profile will be created, and you then need to start filling out the application.
Step 9: In the next step, you will be asked to enter your name, address, date of birth, etc. Also, in this section, you will be asked to provide your bank account details.
Step 10: Next step is where you need to fill in your educational details like class, enrollment number, roll number, etc.

Step 12: Now, upload a passport-size professional photo for your Bihar Scholarship.
Step 13: Now, to finalise your Bihar scholarship application form, you will need to fill the consent form. The form is available in two steps, so read it thoroughly and then tick all the relevant boxes before submission.

Step 2: Click on the Civil Seva Scholarship Scheme.

How to Apply for Bihar Student Credit Card Scheme
Step 1: Visit the official website at www.7nishchay-yuvaupmission.bihar.gov.in/
Step 2: Navigate to the ‘New Applicant Registration’ option on the left-hand side of the dashboard and click on it.
Step 3: Provide all the required information, which includes name, email ID, Aadhaar number, and mobile number, and click on the ‘Send OTP’ button.
Step 4: The one-time password (OTP) will be sent to the registered mobile number and email address.
Step 5: After entering the OTP, a personal description and contact form will appear.
Step 6: Fill in the form with all the required information to access the Bihar Student Credit Card Scheme application form.
Step 7: Enter the desired information in the application form and submit it.
Step 8: After successfully submitting the form, a unique registration number will be sent to the registered mobile number and email address. (Note:– No documents will be required to be submitted online)
Step 9: Upon completion, a PDF version of the form will be generated, containing details regarding the necessary documents and the designated time to visit the District Registration and Counselling Centre (DRCC) counter for further processing of the application.
Step 10: On the prescribed date of the visit, arrive at the District Registration and Counselling Centre (DRCC), carrying the application form along with the required documents in the prescribed format.
Step 11: Once all the documents are submitted, take the receipt for the application from the designated counter.
Note:- Corrections and amendments to the application form will be made on the spot by the Multi-Purpose Assistant (MPA).
