SSP – State Scholarship Portal has been introduced by the Government of Karnataka with an objective to ensure smooth and effective implementation as well as disbursement of scholarships offered by its different departments. It ensures transparency in the application submitted and documents uploaded by the student. SSP Scholarship 2024 – Eligibility Criteria
One of the major eligibility conditions that apply to all scholarships offered on the SSP scholarship portal is that the applicant should be a domicile of Karnataka. Post-matric Scholarship for SC Students
- Student must be a domicile of Karnataka
- Student must have secured at least 50% marks or equivalent grades in the previous final examination
- Student’s annual family income should be ₹2.5 lakh or less
Post-matric Scholarship for ST Students
- Student must be a domicile of Karnataka
- Student must have secured at least 50% marks or equivalent grades in the previous final examination
- Student’s annual family income should be ₹2.5 lakh or less
Vidyasiri Scholarship
- Student must be a domicile of Karnataka and belong to SC/ST or Minority community
- Student must have 75% attendance in the academic year
- For SC/ST, family’s annual income must be ₹2 lakh or less
- For OBC, family’s annual income must be ₹1 lakh or less
Post-matric Scholarship for Backward Classes Students
- Students must be domiciles of Karnataka and belong to Backward Classes category
- They must be pursuing studies at post-matriculation level
- They must have scored at least 50% marks (for category 1) and 60% marks (for category 2A, 3A and 3B) in the previous examination
- Annual family income must be less than ₹2.5 lakh

Merit cum Means Scholarship

- Students must have scored 55% or equivalent marks in Class 8 (relaxation by 5% for SC/ST students)

SSP Scholarship 2024 – How to Apply?
Applications for all types of SSP scholarships can be made online through the SSP portal only. Applicants can follow the steps given below to apply for any of the scholarships mentioned above –
Step 1 – Creating an Account
Step 1: Visit the official website of the State Scholarship Portal.
Step 2: Click on the link given to apply for the “Post-Matric Scholarship for FY 2024-25.
Step 3: Now click on “Create Account”.
Step 4: Fill in the mandatory fields, tick on the consent, and click on the “Proceed” button.
Step 5: After this step, the applicants’ Aadhaar will be seeded with their bank account. Now, enter email ID, mobile number, OTP and click on the “Submit” button.
Step 6: Now enter the certificate’s details and click on the “Proceed” button.
Note: After clicking on the proceed button, the applicants’ will be asked to check their name on the certificates. If it is correct then the applicants’ will be directed to the next page.
Step 7: If the applicants’ have a ration card then tick on yes and enter their ration card number or else they need to apply for a ration card to proceed with the process.
Step 8: After entering the ration card number, a list of family members will appear. Select the name of the applicant from the list and click on the “Check” button to proceed.
Step 9: Now, create a password and click on the “Submit” button.
Note: There should be no special character in the password.
Student Login:
Step 1: Visit the official website of the SSP scholarship.
Step 2: Click on the “Student Login” button on the dashboard.
Step 3: Enter Username, password, and captcha to Login.
Note: In case, you do not remember your student ID or password, you can easily retrieve them by clicking on “Forget Password” or “Know your Student ID” button.
Step 4: Once logged in, proceed to complete the scholarship application. Fill in all required details in the application.
Step 5: Upload all relevant documents and submit the application.
SSP Scholarship 2024 – e-Attestation of Documents
To apply for a scholarship on the SSP scholarship portal, an applicant needs to get the documents e-Attested by the College e-Attestation officer. By following the listed below steps, an applicant can easily get their documents attested online –
Step 1: Click on the official website of the SSP scholarship.
Step 2: Now scroll down the homepage and click on “Click here for e-authentication portal (Students)”.
Step 3: A new window will open, enter the Aadhaar number, captcha, tick on the consent, and click on the “Verify” button.
Step 4: The applicants will be directed to the student profile page. Enter the details such as college name, university name, course, etc., and upload the documents.
Step 5: Now, click on the “Aadhaar Consent” form, fill it and download the form.
Step 6: Visit the e-Attestation officer of your college with the form and original documents to get them attested.
Step 7: Once the documents will be e-Attested by the officer, they will reflect under the Approved documents section.
