About SSP Scholarship Portal
The State Scholarship Portal (SSP) has been introduced by the Government of Karnataka with the objective of ensuring smooth and effective implementation as well as disbursement of scholarships offered by its various departments. It promotes transparency in the applications submitted and the documents uploaded by students. Furthermore, scholarship funds under various departments are disbursed through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) into the beneficiaries’ accounts.

SSP Scholarship Application Process 2025
Applications for all types of SSP scholarships can be submitted online through the Karnataka State Scholarship Portal (SSP). For pre-matric SSP scholarships, students must visit the ssp.karnataka.gov.in, and for post-matric SSP scholarships can be accessed at ssp.postmatric.karnataka.gov.in. The application process for both portals is the same, only the required documents differ. Students are advised to follow the steps provided below to know the complete process.
Stage 1 – Registration
Step 1: Visit the official website of the State Scholarship Portal (SSP) Karnataka.
Step 2: Click on the link given to apply for the ‘Pre or Post-Matric Scholarship for FY 2025-26’.
Step 3: Now, click on “Create Account”.
Step 4: Fill in the mandatory fields, check the consent box, and click on the “Proceed” button.
Step 5: After this step, the applicants’ Aadhaar will be needed with their bank account. Now, enter your email ID, mobile number, OTP and click on the “Submit” button.
Step 6: Now, enter the certificate’s details and click on the “Proceed” button.
Note: After clicking on the proceed button, the applicants will be asked to check their names on the certificates. If it is correct, then the applicants will be directed to the next page.
Step 7: If the applicants have a ration card, then tick yes and enter their ration card number or otherwise, they need to apply for a ration card to proceed with the process.
Step 8: After entering the ration card number, a list of family members will appear. Select the name of the applicant from the list and click on the “Check” button to proceed.
Step 9: Now, create a password and click on the “Submit” button.
Stage 2 – Login
Step 1: Go back to the homepage of the SSP scholarship.
Step 2: Click on the “Student Login” button for the post-matric or pre-matric scholarship on the homepage.
Step 3: Now you will be redirected to the login page. Here you will need to enter your username, password, and captcha to log in.
Note: In case you do not remember your student ID or password, you can easily retrieve them by clicking on the “Forget Password” or “Know your Student ID” button.
Step 4: Once logged in, proceed to complete the scholarship application. Fill in all required details in the application.
Step 5: Upload all relevant documents and submit the application.
Step 6: Once submitted, you will receive a confirmation email on your registered email address.
SSP Scholarship e-Attestation of Documents
After applying for the SSP scholarship on the online portal, you must get your uploaded documents e-attested. The documents are e-attested by the college’s e-attestation officer. By following the steps listed below, applicants can easily get their documents attested online.
Step 1: Click on the official website of the SSP scholarship.
Step 2: Now, scroll down the homepage and click on “Click here for e-authentication portal (Students)”.
Step 3: A new window will open, enter the Aadhaar number, captcha, tick on the consent, and click on the “Verify” button.
Step 4: The applicants will be directed to the student profile page. Enter the details such as college name, university name, course, etc., and upload the documents.
Step 5: Now, click on the “Aadhaar Consent” form, fill it and download the form.
Step 6: Visit the e-Attestation officer of your college with the form and original documents to get them attested.
Step 7: Once the documents are e-attested by the officer, they will reflect under the Approved documents section.
