CBSE Scholarship 2024-25 – Eligibility Criteria

CBSE Merit Scholarship for Single Girl Child

The following eligibility criteria must be fulfilled by the students applying for the ‘CBSE Merit Scholarship for Single Girl Child 2024-25’:

  • Students must be an Indian national and a female student i.e. single child of their parents. 
  • They must have secured 70% marks or more in CBSE Class 10 examination. 
  • Applicants must be pursuing studies in Class 11 and 12 in a school affiliated with CBSE whose tuition fee is not more than ₹2,500 per month.

 (Note: The tuition fee for the NRI applicants should not exceed ₹6,000 per month.)

  • Annual family income of the applicant should be up to ₹8,00,000.

CBSE Scholarship 2024-25 – Awards 

The selected students will receive a monthly scholarship of ₹1,000 for a maximum period of two years. The payment will be done through ECS/NEFT only.

CBSE Scholarship 2024-25 – Required Documents 

Students are required to submit the following documents: 

  • Passport size photograph 
  • Aadhaar card 
  • Marksheet of Class 10
  • Duly filled and attested affidavit (original) by the first class Judicial Magistrate/SDM/Executive Magistrate/Notary
  • Attested undertaking by the school principal where the student is pursuing studies
  • Income certificate (a self-declaration by the parent on a non-judicial notarised stamp paper to be uploaded online) 
  • First quarterly fee slip (duly verified by the Principal to be uploaded online)

CBSE Merit Scholarship for Single Girl Child - Selection Procedure

Applicants will be selected on the basis of following criteria: 

  • Students should have passed Class 10 examination from the CBSE and secured 70% marks or more while pursuing their studies further in Class XI and XII.
  • Renewal: Applicants must have received CBSE Single Girl Child Merit scholarship in the previous year. They must be pursuing studies in Class 12 having scored 70% marks or more in Class 11 and promoted to class 12. Good conduct and regularity in attendance are necessary for renewal and continuation of scholarship benefits.
  • The applicant student should be the only girl child of their parents.
  • Tuition fee of a student should not be more than ₹2,500 per month in Class 10 and ₹3,000 per month in Class 11 and 12. 
  • The annual family income of students should be up to ₹8,00,000.

  • Visit the official website and navigate to the ‘Apply Online’ tab.
  • Click on the ‘Single Girl Child Scholarship – 2024 (Fresh Application)’ option.
  • Enter the roll number and date of birth (as printed on the Class 10 grade sheet).
  • Fill in all the details carefully and submit the form.
  • Print the undertaking provided in the ‘Guidelines’ document, fill in the details, paste the photograph and get it attested from school.

CBSE Merit Scholarship for Single Girl Child - Guidelines

  • Make an affidavit according to the format provided in the ‘Guidelines’ document.
  • Click on the ‘Upload Document’ option and upload the scanned documents in a single PDF file of 1 MB.
  • When redirected to ‘Confirmation Page’, generate and print the document.

(Note: Only the applicants who successfully apply and complete the application will be redirected to generate a confirmation page. The PDF should contain all the pages.
