Talent Scholarships – All You Need to Know

• Young Indian musicians between the age group of 25 years and 40 years can apply.
• They must hold a diploma/degree in Indian Classical Music from a recognised institution or university.
• They must have at least 10 years of training in Indian Classical Music.
• There must also be a minimum of 2 to 3 solo performances to their credit.

• Indian artists between the age group of 25 years and 40 years can apply.
• They must have at least 10 years of training in Indian Classical Dance.
• There must also be a minimum of 2 to 3 solo performances to their credit.

• Artists from the genres of Indian Classical Music or Dance can apply for this scholarship.
• They must have given a minimum of 2 to 3 solo performances.
• They must also have obtained some years of formal training in the prescribed field.

• This fellowship is open for highly talented citizens of India involved in any genre of Indian Classical Music (instrumental/vocal).

• The scholarship is applicable for young photographers who are attending a full-time photography course or those photographers who are under 24 years of age.

• Sportspersons who have represented the country/state/district at the national/state/district level can apply.
• They must be ranked within 500 in national ranking/ within 100 in state ranking/ within 10 in district ranking.
• The annual income of their family should be less than INR 5 Lakhs.

• Sportspersons who are domicile of Haryana state and are playing for the state at the national level can apply for this award.
• They must not have played for any other state/UT than Haryana.

• Students who are domiciled in Tamil Nadu can apply.
• They must be studying in High School/ Higher Secondary School/ College/ University.
• They must also be a winner of National School Games organised by different sports federations or the government of India.
• They must be a medal winner.

• This scholarship is meant for SAI Training Centres (STC).
• For individual sports, the students must be aged between 12 years and 18 years.
• For team sports, the students must be aged between 10 years and 18 years.

• The scholarship is meant for Special Area Games (SAG).
• For individual sports, the students must be aged between 12 years and 18 years.
• For team sports, the students must be aged between 10 years and 18 years.
• The students between 12 years and 14 years who have a genetic advantage can also apply.

• Young emerging artists residing in India can apply for this scholarship.
• They must be below 30 years of age.
• They may be a recent graduate or postgraduate or final year student of visual arts in a reputed institution.
• In case of not holding a formal degree, the applicant must have participated in organised art exhibitions.

Note: The students studying in first-year master’s degree cannot apply for this scholarship.

• Recent graduates or postgraduates in theatre arts can apply.
• They must be under 35 years of age.

• Indian citizens practising vocal music in Indian classical tradition can apply.
• They must be under 30 years of age.

• Young artists having adequate education in fields of Indian Classical Dance, Indian Classical Music, Mime, Theatre, Visual Art, Folk, Traditional & Indigenous Arts and Light Classical Music, etc.
• They must have undertaken training for a minimum of 5 years with their Institutes/Guru.
• They must also fall within the age-group of 18 to 25 years.

• Graduate artists falling within the age group of 25 to 40 years can apply for Junior Fellowship.
• Graduate artists above 40 years of age can apply for Senior Fellowship.
• They must not be in receipt of any Junior or Senior fellowship earlier.

• The sportspersons within the age-group of 13 to 19 years can apply for this scholarship under two categories – Scholar and Elite Scholar.
• To apply under the Scholar category, the applicants must have represented their state teams at the junior or senior level and have a national ranking of 6 to 15.
• To apply under the Elite Scholar category, the applicants must have represented their country at the junior or senior level and have a national ranking or 1 to 5.

• The prospective students or bonafide students of Symbiosis International University can apply for this scholarship.
• They must be proficient in varied disciplines of sports like Cricket, Archery, Badminton, Basketball, Athletics, Hockey, Football, Tennis, Volleyball, etc.

• Indian artists having an art background or an education in the field of Arts can apply for this scholarship.
• They must be falling within the age group of 21 years to 35 years.

• Players from India who are above 14 years of age can apply for this scholarship.
• They must have represented the country in Sub-Junior/ Junior/ Senior National Championships, National School Games, All India Inter-University Tournaments in last 2 years.

• Young students falling within the age group of 10 to 14 years can apply.
• They must be studying in an institution or belong to a family which practices traditional performing arts.

• The Scholars receive a monthly stipend of INR 12,000 (for the first year), INR 14,000 (for the second year) and INR 16,000 (for the third year)

• Students between 14 years and 18 years of age receive INR 12,000 per month
• Students above 18 years of age receive INR 16,000 per month

• Reimbursement of up to INR 9,000 per annum towards the fee of Guru/teacher/institution
