SVMCM Scholarship Scheme 2025 – Eligibility Criteria
Students must fulfil the below-mentioned eligibility criteria in order to apply for SVMCM Scholarship Scheme.
- Applicants must be domiciled in the state of West Bengal.
- Students must be pursuing their studies in regular mode of one of the following:
- Class 11 and 12 from West Bengal Board of Secondary Education/West Bengal Council for Higher Secondary Education/Madrasa Education for Higher Secondary level
- Undergraduate level in Science/Arts/Commerce, Engineering, Medical and Technical/Professional courses from institutes approved by the AICTE and affiliated to West Bengal State Council of Technical & Vocational Education and Skill Development (WBSCTVE&SD)
- Postgraduate level in Science/Arts/Commerce & Technical/Management courses from a recognised government institution from any State University or AICTE approved institutes of West Bengal
- M.Phil and Doctoral courses (NON-NET Junior Research Fellow and NET-Lectureship) from state-aided institutions
- Applicants must fulfill the specified academic requirements to be considered eligible under the scholarship scheme.
- Total family income of the applicant should not be more than ₹2,50,000 per annum.

SVMCM Scholarship Scheme 2025 – Renewal of Scholarship
For renewal of scholarship, candidates must submit their application online to the concerned scholarship sanctioning authority within one month from the date of his/her admission in the next higher class due to promotion by passing in the first attempt. It may be pointed out that in the case of semester mode, candidates must clear all semester examinations in the first attempt.
Renewal of cases which are concentrated only at a particular level of study will be sanctioned on the basis of good academic performance. They are as under:
- Minimum 60% marks should be obtained from Higher Secondary Level to Undergraduate Level combining both semesters at the promotional examination
- 50% marks combining both semesters at Postgraduate Level.
Directions for Renewal under the SVMCM Scholarship Scheme for students pursuing General Degree/Postgraduation Degree programme under the Directorate of Public Instructions (DPI) are as follows:
- 1st Renewal: Submission of SEM 1 and SEM 2 marksheet required
- 2nd Renewal: Submission of SEM 3 and SEM 4 marksheet required
Directions for Renewal under the SVMCM Scholarship Scheme for MBBS students are as under:
- 1st Renewal: With submission of 1st MBBS marksheet
- 2nd Renewal: 2nd Prof MBBS marksheet will need to be furnished for the 2nd renewal in the following year.
- 3rd and Final Renewal: 3rd Prof Part 1 MBBS marksheet will need to be furnished for the 3rd and final renewal in the following year.

SVMCM Scholarship 2025 – Documents Required
Applicants are required to upload some important documents with their online application to apply for SVMCM scholarship –
- Income Certificate (in the format specified)
- Admission Receipt
- Marksheet of last Board/Council/University/College Examination (both sides)
- Scanned copy of bank passbook including the first page containing account number and IFSC
- Domicile certificate such as Aadhaar Card/Ration Card/Voter ID Card issued by the concerned authority
- The declaration of the Head of the Institution related the cause of the gap year. This option will appear only if the applicant selects the year of the qualifying examination as 2023 or earlier in the process of registration.
- While uploading a scanned copy of image and signature, applicants are advised to maintain file format and file size as mentioned below.
- Image and signature format should be JPG/JPEG and size should be in between 20KB-50KB and 10KB-20KB respectively.
- After successful submission of application forms, ‘Scanned Supporting Document Upload’ form will appear. Applicants are advised to upload all necessary documents as mentioned in the form.
- While uploading, applicants must maintain the file format and file size, as mentioned below:
- Files should be in PDF format and size should not exceed 400KB.

Step-by-step instructions to apply under the SVMCM Scholarship Scheme are as follows:
Registration Process:
Step 1: Applicants must visit the official website of Swami Vivekanada Merit-cum-Means Scholarship.
Step 2: Click on the ‘Register’ button available on the right-hand side of the dashboard.
Step 3: Applicants must select the appropriate category.
Step 4: Select the ‘Application Type’ as ‘Fresh Application’ followed with selection of ‘Apply for Fresh’ option and click on the ‘Proceed’ button.
Step 5: Fill in the required details, upload the necessary documents in the prescribed format and click on the ‘Register’ button.
Note:- Applicants applying for Kanyashree scholarship are required to authenticate their previous Kanyashree details for registration under Kanyashree (K3) application.
Step 6: After clicking on the ‘Register’ button, an OTP will be generated and sent to the registered mobile number of the applicant. Applicants must enter the OTP in order to authenticate the verification procedure.
Step 7: After successful verification of mobile number, an ‘Applicant Id’ will be generated. The login credentials will be sent to the registered mobile number and an email containing the Applicant ID and a copy of registration slip will also be shared on the registered Email ID.

Step 1: Interested applicants are advised to visit the official website of SVMCM Scholarship Scheme and click on the ‘Applicant Login’ option available in the right-hand corner of the dashboard.
Step 2: Applicants should login using valid applicant ID and password.
