About The Program
Inlaks Fellowships for Indian Classical Music 2018 invites applications from young vocal musicians. The key objective of the fellowship is to help vocal musicians in their formative years to enhance their creative talent by providing suitable financial assistance to them.
EligibilityDeadline Date : Closed
An applicant must -
- Be a citizen of India and practicing vocal music in the Indian classical tradition
- Be below 30 years of age as on 31 December 2018
- Not be in receipt of a similar/government scholarship or award during the same tenure
Benefits
The fellowship award includes a sum of INR 1,20,000 for a period of one year. Besides this, the selected fellows will also get either of the following two benefits or a combination of the two -
- A chance to pursue additional training with an instrumentalist or a musician (vocalist), other than one's regular guru or with artists of other performing areas.
- A chance to undertake performance-related research (including poetry and language) that enriches their own practice or learning.

- Audio/video - Attach the links of any of the following online platform like vimeo/artist website/ soundcloud/ youtube (If the links are password protected, please provide the password)
- Letter of acceptance from the guide, guru, institution, collaborators with whom the applicant intends to work
- Proof of birth date (Aadhaar card copy/ PAN card copy/ Driving license)

Eligible candidates can apply for the scholarship online through following steps -
Step 1: Visit the official fellowship notification.
Step 2: Click on "Download Application Form" to download the form.
Step 3: Fill in all required details in the form either by hand or typed.
Step 4: Attach supporting documents.
Step 5: Email the duly filled application form along with supporting attachments to info@inlaksfoundation.org with the subject line - "Indian Classical Music Award 2018".
