KV Fees Structure 2025
The fee structure at Kendriya Vidyalayas varies depending on the class and the location of the school. However, the fees of KVs are considered reasonable. KVS schools are regarded as one of the most affordable alternatives available for quality education in India. The admission fee is a one-time payment made at the time of enrollment. The tuition fee is paid monthly, and it covers the following:
- Cost of education (शिक्षण)
- Study materials (शिक्षण सामग्री)
- Laboratory fee (प्रयोगशाला शुल्क)
- Library fee (पुस्तकालय शुल्क)
Additional fees include:
- Sports fee (खेल शुल्क)

KV Fees 2025: Category-Wise Exemption
Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan has decided to provide category-wise exemption to certain KV students. This initiative aims to promote equity and access to essential services and resources. List of the students who are exempted from paying certain fees or charges are as follows:

However, KV students in the following categories don’t need to contribute to the Vidyalaya Vikas Nidhi (VVN):
Children of Armed Forces and Paramilitary personnel killed or disabled in service are eligible for fee exemption. This includes:
- Children of personnel killed or disabled in the wars of 1962, 1965, and 1971.
- Children of personnel killed or disabled in Operation Meghdoot (Siachen) and Operation Vijay (Kargil).
- Children of personnel killed/missing/disabled in counter-insurgency operations (within India or abroad), with a certificate from the concerned Ministry.
Eligible children can avoid paying tuition fees, Principal’s Virtual Personal Interactive charges
- Children of parents living below the poverty line: Families with up to two children with a valid BPL card are eligible.
- Students with disabilities: Eligible for fee exemption, subject to specific conditions.
- Girls in Class 6 and above: Girls who are the only child in their family are exempted from VVN contribution.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Fee 2025: Payment Modes
Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has made the fee payment process easy and convenient for parents. There are two prominent modes of fee payment; online and offline.
Online Mode:
Through the Union Bank of India (UBI):
Step 1: Visit the Union Bank of India (UBI) website or mobile app.
Step 2: Select the ‘Kendriya Vidyalaya Fee Payment‘ option.
Step 3: Enter the required details, such as the child’s name, class, roll number, and school code.
Step 4: Select the payment mode and make the payment.
Through State Bank of India (SBI) Collect:
Step 1: Visit the SBI Collect website or mobile app.
Step 2: Select the ‘Kendriya Vidyalaya Fee Payment‘ option.
Step 3: Enter the required details, such as the child’s name, class, roll number, and school code.
Step 4: Select the payment mode and make the payment.
Through UPI: The NPCI Bharat BillPay Ltd. (NBBL), a subsidiary of the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), on Thursday, announced that the students of Kendriya Vidyalayas in India can now pay their school fees via BHIM UPI or Bharat BillPay-enabled UPI mobile apps like Google Pay or PhonePe. The collaboration has been enabled by the Union Bank of India.
Offline mode:
Through cash/cheque deposit at Union Bank of India (UBI) branch:
Step 1: Visit the nearest Union Bank of India (UBI) branch.
Step 2: Fill the fee challan form available at the branch.
Step 3: Deposit the cash or cheque along with the challan form at the counter.
Through Demand Draft:
Step 1: Prepare a Demand Draft in the favor of ‘Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan.’
Step 2: Send the Demand Draft along with the fee challan form to the school office.
Note: A late fee of ₹100 per month will be charged additionally for delayed payment.

When can I pay Kendriya Vidyalaya fees?
Fees are collected quarterly in January, April, July, and October. Arrear fees can be paid in the following months or with the next quarter (up to one academic year). Advance fees can be paid only in the designated months for up to one year. New admission fees can be paid any time during the year.
