NSP Scholarships Expiring in December 2020 – Find All Details Here

The application deadline for various NSP scholarships is closing in the month of December. The National Scholarship Portal (NSP) enlists a number of scholarships offered by different central government and state government departments. The last date to apply for various state scholarships on NSP lies between 10th and 31st December 2020. The key states include Assam, Andaman and Nicobar, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Goa, Puducherry and Uttarakhand.

Here is a compilation of all the state-level NSP scholarships which are expiring in the month of December. If you find yourself eligible for any of them, apply for them within the stipulated time duration.

Assam Scholarships

Pre-Matric Scholarship for SC Students

SC category students of Assam who are studying in Class 9 and 10 are eligible for this scholarship. They must NOT be getting any other centrally-funded pre-matric scholarship. Also, their annual family income must be less than INR 2.5 lakh from all sources.

Provider Detail – Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India

Scholarship Award – Scholarship up to INR 525 per month and other benefits

Application Deadline – 20th December 2020

Post-Matric Scholarship for SC Students

Under this scheme, SC category students who are domiciles of Assam will get variable financial assistance for their studies at post-matriculation level. They must be studying in Class 11 or higher level. They are required to have passed matriculation or higher secondary examination from a recognized university or board. Their annual family income must be less than INR 2.5 lakh from all sources.

Provider Detail – Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India

Scholarship Award – Up to INR 1,200 per month and other benefits

Application Deadline – 20th December 2020

Pre-Matric Scholarship OBC Students

Students who are domiciles of Assam and belong to Other Backward Classes (OBC) can avail benefits under this scheme. They must be studying in Class 1 to 10. They are required to have a minimum regular attendance of 60% in the previous year. Also, their annual family income must be less than INR 2.5 lakh from all sources.

Provider Detail – Government of Assam

Scholarship Award – Up to INR 500 per month and other grants

Application Deadline – 31st December 2020

Post-Matric Scholarship for OBC Students

Open for OBC category students of Assam, this scholarship offers financial assistance for Class 11 or higher level education. The students are required to have passed matriculation or higher secondary examination from a recognized University or Board. The annual income of the family must be less than INR 1.5 lakh from all sources.

Provider Detail – Government of Assam

Scholarship Award – Maintenance allowance, additional allowance and other benefits

Application Deadline – 31st December 2020

Pre-Matric Scholarship for ST Students

ST category students of Assam who are studying in Class 9 and 10 are eligible for this scholarship. They must have an annual family income of not more than INR 2 lakh from all sources. Also, they must not be in receipt of any other centrally-funded pre-matric scholarship.

Provider Detail – Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India

Scholarship Award – Scholarship up to INR 350 per month and other benefits

Application Deadline – 31st December 2020

Post-Matric Scholarship to ST Students

Students of Assam who belong to ST category can apply for this scholarship provided they are studying in Class 11 or higher level. They are required to have passed matriculation or higher secondary examination from a regular university or board. Also, their annual family income must be less than INR 2 lakh from all sources.

Andaman and Nicobar Scholarships

Pre-Matric Scholarship for ST Students

Students who are domiciles of Andaman and Nicobar and belong to ST category are eligible. They must be studying in Class 9 and 10 at a recognized institution. Their annual family income must not exceed INR 2 lakh from all sources.

Provider Detail – Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India

Scholarship Award – Up to INR 350 per month and other benefits

Application Deadline – 31st December 2020

Post-Matric Scholarship for ST Students

ST category students who are domiciles of Andaman and Nicobar are eligible for this scholarship. They must be studying at post-matriculation level (Class 11 to PhD level). They must have passed matriculation or higher secondary examination from a recognized board or university. The annual family income must be less than INR 2 lakh from all sources.

Dadra and Nagar Haveli Scholarships

Pre-Matric Scholarship to ST Students

Open for ST category students who are domiciles of Dadra and Nagar Haveli, this scholarship offers financial assistance for studies in Class 9 and 10. The annual income of the applicant’s family must be less than INR 2 lakh from all sources.

Provider Detail – Government of India

Scholarship Award – Up to INR 350 per month and other benefits

Application Deadline – 16th December 2020

Post-Matric Scholarship to ST Students

Students who are domiciles of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu are eligible. They must belong to the ST category. They must be pursuing Class 11 to postdoctoral level studies. Also, their annual family income must be less than INR 2 lakh from all sources.

Scholarship Award – Maintenance allowance, additional allowance and other benefits

Application Deadline – 16th December 2020

Goa Scholarships

Pre-Matric Scholarship for ST Students

ST category students of Goa who are studying in Class 9 and 10 are eligible for this scholarship. They must NOT be getting any other centrally-funded pre-matric scholarship. Also, their annual family income must be less than INR 2 lakh from all sources.

Post-Matric Scholarship for ST Students

Students who are residents of Goa and belong to ST category can avail benefits under this scheme. They must be studying in Class 11 to PhD level at a recognized institution of higher education. Their family income must be less than INR 2 lakh per annum from all sources.

Scholarship Award – Up to INR 1,200 per month and other benefits

The application process for these NSP scholarships involves simple steps. You just need to make sure that you apply well before the deadline in order to avoid any last-minute chaos. Follow the steps given below –

Step 1: Visit the official website of the National Scholarship Portal (NSP).

Step 2: Click on the ‘New Registration’ button and register on the portal. Make sure to provide correct information while registering.

Step 3: Once registered successfully, you will get your application ID and password on your registered email ID and mobile number. Make a login using the registered application ID and password.

Step 4: Continue filling the scholarship application form. It is important to fill the fields marked with an asterisk ‘*’.

Step 5: Upload all required documents in support of your application.

Step 6: Finally, submit the application form.
