NSP State-Funded Scholarships – Assam

The Government of Assam offers a number of pre-matric and post-matric scholarships through NSP for students who are domiciles of Assam state. These scholarships are meant to support the education of students belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Other Backward Classes (OBC) categories. The table given below highlights a complete list of NSP state-funded scholarships by the Assam government along with their eligibility criteria and award details.

NSP State-Funded Scholarships – Chandigarh

The Chandigarh Administration, with the support of the central government and its education department, offers a number of scholarships for students who are domiciles of Chandigarh through the National Scholarship Portal. The key objective of these scholarships is to encourage the underprivileged students to pursue their education without any financial constraint. These scholarships can be broadly categorized into pre-matric scholarships and post-matric scholarships. NSP State-Funded Scholarships – Bihar

The Government of Bihar also enlists some of its post-matric scholarships on the National Scholarship Portal that come under the category of NSP state-funded scholarships. These scholarships are meant to offer financial assistance to students belonging to SC, ST, BC, and EBC categories. The students who find themselves eligible for these scholarships can apply online through the national scholarship portal. NSP State-Funded Scholarships – Uttarakhand

Uttarakhand scholarships, offered by the government of Uttarakhand, are meant to support the education of students who are domiciles of Uttarakhand state. These scholarships are run by the Social Welfare Department of the state government and implemented through the National Scholarship Portal. The table below highlights key details of all NSP state-funded scholarships offered by Uttarakhand government.

The annual family income should be less than INR 44,500.

Pre-Matric Disability Scholarship (State Sector) Students with disabilities who are studying in Class 1 to 10 can apply. 

The annual family income should be less than INR 24,000.

Up to INR 1,700 per annum
Pre-Matric Scholarship for ST Students (State/Center Sector) ST students of Class 1 to 10 can apply. 

The annual family income should be INR 2 lakh for students of Class 9 and 10.

Up to INR 3,500 per annum
Post Matric Scholarship for EBC Students General category students whose annual family income is less than INR 1 lakh can apply. 

They must be studying in Class 11 to postdoctoral level.

Maintenance allowance and other benefits
Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme for Minority (100 percent State Sector) Minority community students of Class 1 to 10 can apply. 

The annual family income should be less than twice the current income slab of below poverty line.

Up to INR 120 per month

NSP State-Funded Scholarships – Tripura

The Government of Tripura also offers a number of pre-matric and post-matric scholarships for students who are domiciles of Tripura state. The Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of Karnataka also enlists its pre-matric and post-matric scholarship schemes on the National Scholarship Portal under ‘State Schemes’ section. These scholarships are meant for students who are domiciles of Karnataka state and belong to the Scheduled Tribes (ST) category.

NSP State-Funded Scholarships – Meghalaya

The scholarships offered by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of Meghalaya come under the state-funded scholarship section of Meghalaya on NSP. Just like other state scholarships, the national scholarship portal looks after the effective implementation of these scholarships online. Meant to support the education ST category students of Karnataka, these scholarships are also categorised into Pre-Matric Scholarship and Post-Matric Scholarships. The scholarship listed under NSP state-funded scholarship of Jammu Kashmir is “Post-Matric Scholarship to ST Students”. Open for ST category students of Jammu & Kashmir, this scholarship provides financial assistance for studies at post-matriculation level. The students are required to pursue studies in Class 11 to postdoctoral level. The annual family income of the applicant should not exceed INR 2 lakh from all sources.
