NSP Centrally Sponsored Pre-Matric Scholarship For SC Students (Class 9 & 10), Manipur 2026-27 is an initiative of the Government of Manipur, for SC students studying in Class 9 and 10 in both government and private schools. The scholarship aims to help SC students in Manipur complete their elementary education. Selected candidates will receive a consolidated academic allowance of up to ₹7,000 and other benefits.
To be eligible, an applicant must:-
The students will receive a consolidated academic allowance as follows:-

In addition, a 10% extra allowance will be given to Divyang (disabled) students.

Eligible applicants can apply by following these steps:-
Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' button below.
Step 2: Click on the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details. (Note:- If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID).
Step 3: Navigate to the 'Students' option on the left-hand side of the dashboard and click on it.
Step 4: Now, click on the 'Login' button under the OTR option, as it is required to apply for a scholarship on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP).
Step 5: Read the details carefully, tick the checkbox, and click on the 'Next' button.
Step 6: Enter a functional mobile number, captcha code, and OTP, then submit to complete the registration process.
Step 7: Enter your/parents/guardian Adhaar/EID number and click ‘Get OTP’ for eKYC.
Step 8: Enter the OTP and click on ‘Verify’. Then click on ‘I Agree’.
Step 9: Enter all the mentioned details and click on ‘Finish’ to complete the 'One-time registration (OTR)' process. (Note:- This is a temporary registration number; students need to download the OTR mobile application for face authentication to complete the OTR process.)
Step 10: After successful registration, navigate to the 'Apply for Scholarship' option and click on the 'Login' button.
Step 11: Fill in the required details and click ‘Login’ to proceed with the scholarship application.
Note:- All the applicants are advised to fill in the information correctly on the application form. Once the application is submitted, no changes can be made. Additionally, submitting multiple applications will result in disqualification.

Question: Are all pre-matric students eligible for this scholarship?
Answer: Only students of Manipur who are studying in Class 9 and 10 are eligible for this scholarship.
Question: Is there a merit requirement for this scholarship?
Answer: There is no specific/minimum merit requirement for this scholarship. However, strong academic performance is preferred while shortlisting candidates.
Question: If a student is studying outside of Sikkim, can they still receive the scholarship?
Answer: Any student who is currently studying outside of the state of Sikkim can receive the scholarship, provided they meet the eligibility criteria.
Question: How will the students receive the award?
Answer: The award will be disbursed into the Aadhaar-linked bank account of the student through the Direct Benefit Transfer method.
Question: Is this scholarship renewable?
Answer: The scholarship is renewable until the student passes Class 10, subject to satisfactory academic performance and 75% annual attendance.
