About the Program

Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India is inviting applications from Class 9 and 10 students from the state of Tripura to apply for Pre Matric SC Class 9 and 10 Scholarship, Tripura 2019. The selected students will get variable awards.

    The applicant must:

    • Belong to schedule caste community
    • Not be having an annual family income of INR 2,50,000
    • Not be getting any other centrally funded scholarship
    • Have a valid Adhaar Card
    • Be a regular student in a government school or government recognised school.

    The eligible students will get the following awards:

    Scholarship - INR 225/month (day scholar), INR 525/month (hostellers)
    Book and Ad Hoc - INR 750 (day scholar), INR 1,000 (hostellers)

    Allowances for students with disabilities studying in Private unaided Schools:

    (i) Reader Allowance for Blind students: INR 160
    (ii) Transport Allowance for students with disabilities (as defined in the Persons with Disabilities Act 1995): INR 160/month (day scholar)
    (iii) Escort Allowance for Severely Disabled (i.e. with 80% or higher disability) Day Scholars/Students with low extremity disability: INR 160/month
    (iv) Helper Allowance admissible to any of the hostel willing to extend help to a severely orthopedically handicapped student: INR 160/month (hosteller)
    (v)  Coaching Allowance to Mentally Retarded and Mentally ill Students: INR 240/month

    How can you apply?

    Eligible candidates can apply for the scholarship through following steps -
    Step 1: Visit the homepage of the National Scholarship Portal and click on 'New Registration'.
    Step 2: Read the guidelines carefully, select the undertaking and 'Continue'. 
    Step 3: Select the state of domicile, scholarship category (Post Matric), scheme type (scholarship scheme), gender, write the applicant's name, date of birth, mobile number, email ID.
    Step 4: Provide the bank details (Bank name, IFSC Code, Account Number)
    Step 5: Select Aadhaar or Bank Account Number as identification detail and click on the 'Register' button.
    Step 6: The mobile number will be verified and an OTP will be generated.
    Step 7: Now, log in using OTP and fill the form.
    Step 8: An application ID and password will be generated. Use that for future references.
    Note: All the applicants are advised to fill the form correctly, no changes can be made once submitted. The applicants are also advised to fill only one application as multiple applications will lead to the cancellation of the form.
