Introduced by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India and various state governments, these scholarships are meant to support the education of students belonging to Scheduled Tribe (ST) category. National Fellowship for Higher Education for ST Students
The fellowship is open for ST category students who have passed their post-graduation examination. They must be admitted to or registered for a regular full-time MPhil/PhD programme in a recognized institution. Furthermore, to qualify for the Senior Research Fellowship, the students must fulfil the prescribed UGC/ICAR norms.

PG Scholarships for Professional Courses for SC/ST Students
SC/ST category students who are pursuing postgraduate courses in professional subjects are eligible for this scholarship. They must be studying at recognized institutions/colleges/universities in India. Courses that need approval from the regulatory bodies such as MCI, DCI, PCI, RCI, NCTIS, NCTE Bar Council of India, AICTE, ICAR, INC, Forensic Regulatory & Development Authority of India, are considered as professional courses.

National Scholarship for Higher Education of ST Students
This scholarship is open for ST category students who are pursuing professional courses at undergraduate or postgraduate level. They must have taken admission in institutions notified and identified by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs. Also, the annual family income must be less than INR 6 lakh from all sources.

Post-Matric Scholarship for ST Students, Manipur
Students who are domiciles of Manipur and belong to ST category are eligible for this scholarship. They must be studying at post-matriculation level i.e., Class 11 to PhD level at recognized institutions. The annual income of the family must be less than INR 2.50 lakh from all sources.

ST category students who are domiciles of Puducherry are eligible for this scholarship. They must be studying at post-matriculation level i.e., Class 11 to PhD level. They must have passed matriculation or higher secondary or any higher examination from a recognized University or Board of Secondary Education. Also, they must have an annual family income less than INR 2 lakh from all sources.

Prerana Post Matric Scholarship for ST/SC/OBC/SEBC/EBC Communities, Odisha
This scholarship is open for students who are residents of Odisha and belong to SC/ST/OBC/EBC/SEBC categories. They must be pursuing studies at post-matriculation level i.e., Class 11 to post-doctoral level. The annual family income must be less than INR 2.5 lakh (for SC/ST students) and INR 1 lakh (for OBC/SEBC/EBC students). Furthermore, for OBC/SEBC students, the minimum percentage of marks in the previous examination must be 50% or equivalent.
