Pre-Matric Scholarship for ST Students (Class 9 & 10), Sikkim 2023-24 is an initiative of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, for ST students of the state who are studying in Class 9 and 10. The scholarship aims to minimise the incidence of drop-out, especially in the transition from the elementary to the secondary stage by providing financial support. The selected candidates will receive a monthly scholarship grant of ₹350 for 10 months and other grants.
To be eligible, an applicant must:-
Note:- Scholarship for studying in any class will be available for only one year. If students have to repeat a class, they will not receive a scholarship for that class for a second (or subsequent) year.
The selected scholars will receive the following benefits:-

Additional allowances for students with disabilities studying in private unaided schools:-
The 'Inclusive Education of the Disabled at Secondary Stage' (IEDSS) scheme, run by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), offers financial aid of ₹3,000 per annum to students with disabilities attending secondary-level government, government-aided, and local body schools. This assistance falls under the scheme's "Student Oriented Component" and aims to support the education of the students at the post-matric level.
However, students in un-aided schools are not covered under the ‘Inclusive Education of the Disabled at Secondary Stage' (IEDSS).
Therefore, SC students with disabilities, studying in Class 9 and 10 in private un-aided recognised schools, will be eligible for allowances as follows:-

Note:- The disability as defined under the Persons with Disabilities (equal opportunities, Protection of Rights and Full Participation Act, 1995) Act has to be certified by competent medical authority of the State Govt./UT Administration.
Eligible students can apply for the scholarship through the following steps:-
Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' link below.
Step 2: Click on the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details. (Note:- If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID).
Step 3: Navigate to the 'Applicant Corner' and click on the 'New Registration' tab.
Step 4: Read the details carefully, tick the checkbox, and click on the 'Continue' button.
Step 5: Enter mobile number, captcha code, and OTP, then submit.
Step 6: Fill in the required details and click on 'Save & Register' to complete the registration process.
Step 7: Now click on the 'Fresh Application' tab and log in using the application ID and password.
Step 8: Fill in the required details, upload the necessary documents, and submit the application.
Note:- All the applicants are advised to fill out the form correctly, no changes can be made once submitted. The applicants are also advised to fill in only one application as multiple applications will cancel the form.
