NSP scholarships for Post-Matric students are among the most popular scholarships in India. The scholarships for which applications are still open are closing on the National Scholarship Portal on January 20, 2021.
These scholarships offered by different departments of the Government of India aim to support the studies of students coming from different strata of the society. The students who are pursuing studies at post-matriculation level i.e., Class 11 to postdoctoral level are eligible for these scholarships.

Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme for Minorities
Eligibility: Minority community students who are studying in Class 11 to PhD level are eligible. They must have secured at least 50% marks in the previous qualifying examination. Their annual family income must be less than INR 2 lakh from all sources.

Merit Cum Means Scholarship for Professional and Technical Courses
Eligibility: Minority community students who are pursuing technical or professional courses at undergraduate or postgraduate level are eligible for this scholarship. They are required to have secured at least 50% marks or equivalent grade in the previous final examination. The annual family income must be less than INR 2.50 lakh from all sources.

Eligibility: Open for students with disabilities having more than 40% disability. They must be studying in Class 11 to postgraduate level. Their annual family income must be less than INR 2.50 lakh from all sources.

Scholarships for Top Class Education for Students with Disabilities
Eligibility: Students having more than 40% disability are eligible. They must Be pursuing studies at graduate/postgraduate/diploma level in notified institutions of excellence in education. Their annual family income must be less than INR 6 lakh from all sources.

Top Class Education Scheme for SC Students
Eligibility: Open for SC category students who have completed Class 12. They must have taken admission in a full-time course in a notified institution through general selection criteria prescribed by respective institutions. Their annual income should not be more than INR 6.00 lakh from all the sources.

Financial Assistance for Education of the Wards of Beedi/Cine/IOMC/LSDM Workers – Post-Matric
Eligibility: Open for students whose one or both parents are working as Beedi workers/Iron Ore Manganese & Chrome Ore Mines (IOMC) workers/Limestone & Dolomite Mines (LSDM) workers/Cine Workers for at least six months. They must have passed the last qualifying examination in the first attempt. They must have enrolled in a regular course of general or technical education, including medical, engineering and agricultural studies. The monthly income of the family must not exceed INR 10,000 from all the sources except for Cine workers where the income must not exceed INR 8,000 per month or INR 1,00,000 per annum.

Central Sector Scheme of Scholarships for College and University Students
Eligibility: Open for Class 12 passed students who are above the 80th percentile of successful candidates in their relevant stream in Class 12. They must be pursuing a regular undergraduate or postgraduate course from a recognized university/college/institution. The annual family income must be less than INR 8 lakh from all sources.

Prime Minister’s Scholarship Scheme For RPF/RPSF
Eligibility: Open for dependent wards of Ex-RPF/RPSF personnel or widow. They must have secured 60% and above marks in Minimum Educational Qualification (MEQ) i.e., class 12, Diploma/Graduation. They must be pursuing a professional or technical degree course (BE, BTech, MBBS, MCA, BCA, BPharma, BEd, BBS, BCA, MCA, B. Pharma, etc.) recognized by respective government authorities like AICTE, MCI, UGC, NCTE, etc.

PG Indira Gandhi Scholarship for Single Girl Child
Eligibility: Girl students who are below 30 years of age and are the only child of their family are eligible. They must have taken admission in a regular, full-time 1st-year Master’s degree programme in any designated university or a postgraduate college. Girl students having no brother or girls who are twin daughters/fraternal daughters are also eligible.

ISHAN UDAY – Special Scholarship Scheme for North Eastern Region
Eligibility: Students, who are domiciles of North-Eastern Region (NER) are eligible. They must have passed Class 12 (or equivalent) in the preceding year. They must have secured admission in the first year of a general degree/technical/professional/medical/paramedical courses in a recognized College/University/Institute. Their annual family income must be less than INR 4.50 lakh from all sources.

AICTE-Saksham Scholarship Scheme
Eligibility: Students with disabilities having not less than 40% disability are eligible. They must be admitted to the first year of degree/diploma level course or second year of degree/diploma level course through lateral entry in any of the AICTE approved Institution of the respective year. Their annual family income must be less than INR 8 lakh per annum.

AICTE Pragati Scholarship for Girls
Eligibility: Girl students who are pursuing a technical degree/diploma course in the first year or second year (through lateral entry only) on the basis of percentage of marks obtained in the 10+2/equivalent examination are eligible. Their annual family income must be less than INR 8 lakh per annum.
