India Rankings University 2025: Key Highlights

  • IISC Bangalore once again proved its mettle and successfully retained its 1st position. It is the only institute that has breached the 80+ marks in the overall score. 
  • Universities like BITS Pilani and SRM have shown private universities representation. BITS Pilani NIRF ranking is 7th and it is among the handful of private universities that bagged a place in the top 10.  SRM NIRF ranking is 11th, missing the top 10 spot by an inch. 
  • VIT Vellore has also performed exceptionally well in the ranking. VIT Vellore NIRF ranking is 14th in the university category. 
  • Other universities like Amity University, LPU and Christ University have bagged their place in the top 100 universities. Amity University NIRF ranking for the year 2025 is 22nd, whereas, LPU university nirf ranking is 31st.
