Here are the key observations of the NIRF Engineering rankings 2025:-
- Once again, IITs have dominated the rankings, with 9 out of the top 10 institutions being IITs.
- For a seventh consecutive year IIT Madras, IIT Delhi, and IIT Bombay have retained the coveted 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions, respectively.
- IIT Madras is the only institution among the top 10 NIRF ranked engineering colleges that has secured a 100/100 perception score, showing us that its reputation among employers and academic peers is unparalleled.
- IIT Hyderabad and IIT Guwahati have interchanged positions as compared to the last NIRF ranking issued in 2024. For 2025, IIT Hyderabad NIRF ranking has improved, moving up from 8th to 7th position, while IIT Guwahati NIRF ranking has slipped from 7th to 8th.
