The applications for various minority scholarships are expiring in the month of December. The Ministry of Minority Affairs (MOMA), Government of India along with other state governments is offering a number of scholarships for students belonging to minority communities, the deadline for which lies between 10th and 31st December 2020. The key objective of these scholarships is to support the education of minority community (Muslim, Sikh, Christian, Buddhist, Jain and Parsi) students at both pre-matric and post-matric level.

Pre-Matric Scholarships Scheme for Minorities
Minority community students who are studying in Class 1 to 10 are eligible for this scholarship. They are required to have secured at least 50% marks in the previous final examination. Also, their annual family income must be less than INR 1 lakh from all sources.

Post-Matric Scholarships Scheme for Minorities
This scholarship supports the post-matriculation (Class 11 to PhD level) studies of minority community students. They are required to have secured at least 50% marks or equivalent grades in the previous qualifying examination. The annual family income must not be more than INR 2 lakh from all sources.

Merit Cum Means Scholarship for Professional and Technical Courses CS (Minorities)
Under this scholarship, minority students who are pursuing a technical or professional course at undergraduate or postgraduate level are provided financial assistance. They are required to have secured at least 50% marks or equivalent grades in the previous final examination. The annual family income must be less than INR 2.50 lakh from all sources. Students should also note that they must get admission in the UG/PG course on the basis of competitive entrance examination or marks obtained in Class 12 or graduation.

Swami Vivekananda Merit Cum Means Scholarship Scheme for Minorities, West Bengal
Students, who are domiciles of West Bengal and belong to Minority communities are eligible. They must be studying in Class 11 to postgraduate level at an institution location in West Bengal. They are required to have passed their qualifying examination with the desired percentage of marks. Also, their annual family income must be less than INR 2.5 lakh from all sources.

Scholarship Award: Up to INR 60,000 per annum

West Bengal Talent Support Stipend Programme
This scholarship is open for minority community students who are residents of West Bengal. They must be studying in Class 11 to PhD level. They are required to have passed the previous final examination with more than 50% marks. They must not be studying in any institution outside West Bengal. Also, their annual family income must be less than INR 2 lakh from all sources.

Scholarship Award: INR 2,550 to INR 4,900 per annum

ITC Fee Reimbursement Scholarship, Kerala
Students, who are residents of Kerala state and belong to minority communities are eligible for this scholarship. They must be pursuing ITI courses. Also, their annual family income must be less than INR 8 lakh from all sources.

Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme for Minority (100 percent State Sector), Uttarakhand
This scholarship is open for minority community students who are residents of Uttarakhand and are studying within the state at a recognized institution. They must be studying in Class 1 to 10 and have passed the last qualifying examination. Also, they must have an annual family income of not more than twice the current below-poverty-line income slab.

Post-Matric (Other Than Intermediate) Scholarship for Minorities, Uttar Pradesh
