HP Scholarship 2025 – Important Dates, Eligibility and Application Process

HP scholarships applications are ongoing for the academic year 2025-26. The last date to apply for most of the state-sponsored HP scholarships like Dr. Ambedkar Medhavi Chattervriti Yojana for SC Students, Mukhiya Mantri Protsahan Yojana, and Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme for SC/ST Students (Class 9 & 10) is November 15, 2025. While for Technical schemes like Scholarships for PG/Degree & Engineering Level Courses, Scholarships for Diploma Courses, and Scholarships for ITI students, the last date to apply is November 20, 2025.

HP Scholarship – Eligibility Criteria

All these scholarships have certain limitations and conditions for students to be eligible for them. The eligibility criteria for these numerous scholarships are different depending on the financial status and social status of students with the exception that the student ought to be a bona fide studying within the state or outside the state, and having a valid AADHAR (UID/EID) credentials.

HP Scholarship Eligibility Criteria – Central Sponsored Schemes

Maulana Azad National Scholarship Scheme for Meritorious girl students belonging to Minorities Minority Groups The student should be a girl belonging to a Minority Group (Muslim/ Sikh/ Christian/ Buddhist/ Jain/ Parsi). They must be studying in Class 12 to Ph.D. level of education at Govt. / recognized schools/ colleges/ institutes, including technical/ vocational courses

The annual family income of the student should not exceed ₹1 lakh per annum. The student must have secured at least 50% marks in the last qualifying examination

National Means Cum Merit Scholarships For All The student should belong to an economically weaker section with an annual family income not exceeding ₹1.5 lakh per annum. The applicant should be a student of lower than Class 8 and must have dropped out of further studies
Scholarship to Disabled Students For All Trust Fund- The student should have a disability and should be pursuing a degree or PG level professional and technical courses from recognized institutions, with an annual family income of less than ₹3 lakh.

National Fund- The student should have a disability and should be pursuing post matric professional and technical courses of more than one-year duration, with an annual family income of less than ₹1.80 lakh. Post Matric or Pre-Matric- The student should have a disability and must be of either post matric or pre-matric education level

HP Scholarships Eligibility Criteria 2025 – Technical Schemes

They must be pursuing a PG course / degree courses in engineering / technology including architecture or any other equivalent course approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

The annual family income of the student should not exceed ₹3.6 lakh per annum

Scholarships for Diploma Courses For All The student should belong to a financially backward background and be a bona fide of Himachal Pradesh or ward of HP Government employees. The student must have scored at least 60% marks in the last qualifying examination.

They must be pursuing diploma level courses in engineering / technology including architecture or any other equivalent course approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The annual family income of the student should not exceed ₹36,000 per annum

Scholarships for ITI Students For All The scholarship is applicable for ITI students.

HP Scholarship 2025 – Awards

The HP scholarship has been specifically created to assist students who belong to financially challenging backgrounds or are either from a minority group or reserved categories with limited means. These have also been implemented for disabled students. HP Scholarship – How to Apply?

The newly implemented HP ePass scholarship portal makes it easy and efficient for the students to apply for these scholarships. However, the applications for most of the centrally-sponsored and state-sponsored scholarships are now invited through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP).

  • Visit the Himachal Pradesh ePass Scholarship Portal
  • The list of Scholarship Schemes can be referenced by clicking on ‘Schemes Offered’

Step 2: Register

  • Click on ‘Student login’ in order to register yourself.
  • If you do not have an Aadhar card click on ‘No’ and provide the Electronic Identification as ID proof and complete the registration
  • The User Id and Password will be provided through the specified phone number and email id of the student.

Note- Keep the User ID and Password safe, the same shall be used to track further progress of the scholarship application.

Step 3: Attach the required documents

Once you have completed the registration by providing valid and important details carefully, attach all the necessary documents required in the HP Scholarship application. Make sure to be conscious of all the documents being authentic and valid, they will be verified before the registration is confirmed and any or all invalid data provided will be rejected immediately.

How do I check the status of my scholarship application?

The progress of the application can be constantly tracked by logging in the HP Epass Scholarship Portal through the same ID and password provided to you at the time of registration. If you’ve applied through the National Scholarships Portal, you can track your application status by logging into your account.

Who all are eligible to apply for HP scholarships?

Himachal Pradesh bonafide students, studying within state or outside state (in India only), having a valid Aadhaar and fulfilling the scheme specific eligibility criteria can apply for the state-sponsored and central-sponsored scholarships.

When is the last date to apply for HP scholarships?

The last day to apply for the majority of the HP scholarships are November 15, 2025 and November 20, 2025. Students are advised to check the National Scholarships Portal and other platforms as well for more clarity.
