Top scholarships for students of Himachal Pradesh

Home to many reputed educational institutions such as Indian Institute of Technology Mandi, Himachal Pradesh University (HPU), National Institute of Technology (NIT), the state is rapidly transforming into an educational hub in the hilly region.

With highest literacy rate, Himachal Pradesh is the first state in the country to make elementary education accessible to every child in the state.

To further improve the education sector, the state government has also launched many scholarship opportunities for its students. Here, we have prepared a list of scholarships for students of Himachal Pradesh who can apply and avail these opportunities to pursue their dream education to become successful in life.

Thakur Sen Negi Utkrisht Chattervriti Yojana, Himachal Pradesh

The government of Himachal Pradesh has announced Thakur Sen Negi Utkrisht Chattervritti Yojna for students who have completed their Class 10. This scholarship for the students of Himachal Pradesh will be given to top 100 girls and top 100 boys belonging to the tribal community of the state. The student who got admission in any of the notified institutions for pursuing a full-time course at the level of Post Matric/Diploma according to the norms prescribed by the respective institution can apply for this type of scholarship.

Maharshi Balmiki Chattervriti Yojana, Himachal Pradesh

This scholarship for the students of Himachal Pradesh is given to the Bonafide Himachali girl students belonging to Balmiki Families. The candidate should not avail any other scholarship under any scheme of the Government of India and should be a domicile girl students belonging to Balmiki Families.

Dr. Radha Krishnan Scholarship, HP Board of School Education

This scholarship for the students of Himachal Pradesh was introduced by the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education, Dharamshala for them who have passed Class 10 or 12 in March 2017 from the same board. This scholarship is given with an objective to provide financial support to the talented and needy students to pursue higher education.

J N Tata Endowment Loan Scholarships

Launched by the J N Tata Endowment for Higher Education of Indians, this scholarship is designed for students who are willing to pursue full-time Postgraduate/Ph.D./Postdoctoral studies abroad in all fields. Students in their final year of degree program are also eligible to apply for this scholarship. Student must have obtained consistently good record in academics and other achievements in order to be eligible for this scholarship.

K. C. Mahindra Scholarships for Post-Graduate Studies Abroad

With an objective to transform lives of the people of the country by providing education and knowledge, this scholarship was introduced by K. C. Mahindra Education Trust for students who wants to pursue post-graduate studies abroad. Interest-free loan with scholarships worth INR 8 lac will be provided to students as part of this scholarship.
