The Nanda Gaura Yojana is a two-phase scheme launched by the Government of Uttarakhand especially for the girl child who are permanent residents of Uttarakhand. The girl students who’re passing their Class 12 in the year 2025 can apply online for the Nanda Gaura Yojana’s second phase by November 30, 2025.

Nanda Gaura Yojana – Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant must be a permanent resident of the state of Uttarakhand
  • This scheme is valid and applicable for up to two girl children belonging to the same family
  • The annual family income of the girl child should not exceed ₹ 72,000 (₹ 6,000 per month)
  • The bank account provided must be linked to Aadhaar and should be active at the time of applying
  • The second installment will be granted only if the girl has passed Class 12 from the Uttarakhand Board, Secondary Education Board of other states, CBSE, ICSE, or the National Institute of Open Schooling, New Delhi
  • As per the government order, the following points will be necessarily included in the affidavit regarding giving/not giving the benefit of the scheme to other girls of the family (not more than 2) of the girl applying, on completion of 12th class earlier:-

    • I certify that this benefit is being availed by my first/second daughter, who is unmarried
    • I have given correct information regarding movable and immovable property and other required information
    • I have not concealed any facts
    • I have provided details of all the accounts of my family along with bank statements for one year

Moreover, the application for the Nanda Gaura Yojana Uttarakhand will be rejected if –

  • The applicant applies for the scheme via offline methods
  • The required certificates at the time of application are not provided as per the instructions
  • The applicant applies for the scheme benefits for a particular phase more than once

For the birth of a girl child –

  1. Latest passport size photograph of the girl child
  2. Parent / Guardian Signature
  3. Permanent Residence Certificate
  4. Copy of family register or certificate given by the member of assembly/councilor

  6. Institutional Delivery Certificate
  7. Birth Registration Certificate
  8. Income Certificate
  9. Aadhar Card of Mother and Father/Guardian
  10. House tax paid by the urban/rural local body or a certificate issued by the village head/councilor for non-payment of house tax in case the rental agreement documents.
  11. PAN card of mother and father/guardian
  12. Certificate provided by Anganwadi worker
  13. Mother Child Immunization / MCP (Vaccination) Card
  14. Copy of bank passbook of all family members and copy of bank statement for last one year
  15. Copy of Socio Economic and Caste Census (SECC) assessment of family status

For passing the intermediate of the girl child –

  1. Latest passport size photograph of the student

  5. Mark sheet and certificate of passing Class 12
