Assam Scholarship 2026 – Key Eligibility

Every scholarship comes with a pre-defined set of eligibility conditions that you need to fulfil to receive the scholarship amount. These conditions majorly depend upon your current academic qualification and financial need. The key eligibility condition that is applicable for all Assam scholarships is that the students must be domicile or permanent residents of the state. Pre-Matric Scholarship for SC Students (Class 1 to 10), Assam

  • The scholarship is applicable for SC students who are studying in Class 1 to 10 (full-time) at a government school or a government-recognized school
  • The Scholarship is applicable to the children of parents who work as manual scavengers or tanners and flayers or Waste pickers or any person engaged in hazardous cleaning jobs
  • There is no family income ceiling for this scholarship

Pre-Matric Scholarship for SC Students (Class 9 and 10), Assam

  • The scholarship is applicable for SC students who are studying in classes 9 and 10 (full-time) at a government school or a government-recognized school
  • The annual income of the family should be less than ₹2,50,000 per annum
  • The applicants should not be in receipt of any other centrally-funded pre-matric scholarship

Pre-Matric Scholarship for OBC Students, Assam

  • The students of classes 1 to 10 can apply for this scholarship
  • They must hold a minimum attendance of 60% in the previous year
  • The annual income of the family should be less than ₹2,50,000

Pre-Matric Scholarship for ST Students (Class 9 & 10), Assam

  • The scholarship is applicable for ST students who are studying in classes 9 and 10 (full-time) at a government school or a government-recognized school
  • The annual income of the family should be less than ₹2,00,000 per annum
  • The applicants should not be in receipt of any other centrally-funded pre-matric scholarship

Post Matric Scholarship for OBC Students, Assam

  • The OBC students pursuing their studies at the post-matriculation level (class 11 to postdoctoral level) from a recognized institution can apply for this scholarship
  • The annual income of the family should not exceed ₹1,50,000 per annum from all sources

Post Matric Scholarship for ST Students, Assam

  • The scholarship is open for students pursuing studies at the post-matriculation level (class 11 to post-doctoral level) from a recognized institution
  • The annual income of the family should be less than ₹2,00,000 from all sources

  • For hostellers – ₹7,000 per annum
  • For day scholars – ₹3,500  per annum

Pre-Matric Scholarship for SC Students (Class 1 to 10), Assam

  • For hostellers of Class 3 to 10 – ₹ 8000 per annum
  • For day scholars – ₹ 3500  per annum

Pre-Matric Scholarship for OBC Students, Assam

  • For hostellers of Classes 3 to 10 – ₹500 per month for 10 months
  • For day scholars of Classes 1 to 10 – ₹100 per month for 10 months
  • An annual ad hoc grant of ₹500

Pre-Matric Scholarship for ST Students (Class 9 and 10), Assam

  • ₹ 150 per month for day scholars and ₹350 per month for hostellers for 10 months
  • Books and ad-hoc grants of ₹750 per annum for day scholars and ₹1,000 per annum for hostellers.
