NEET UG & PG Scholarships for MBBS Aspirants 2025

National Scholarship Portal (NSP)The NSP serves as a one-stop digital platform for students to access a wide array of scholarships offered by the Central and State Governments. It plays a crucial role for NEET-qualified students seeking financial assistance to pursue MBBS or BDS courses, especially under merit-based or need-based schemes. Scholarships available through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) are aimed at promoting equitable access to medical education across diverse socio-economic backgrounds and often prioritize candidates from reserved categories, economically weaker sections (EWS), or state-specific domiciles.

For NEET aspirants, the portal consolidates opportunities such as the Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students, and various state-level medical scholarships for top rankers or students from low-income households. These scholarships can significantly reduce the burden of tuition and hostel fees in both government and private medical colleges.

Application Timeline – The application window falls between July and August each year. To ensure timely submission, students are advised to regularly monitor the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) calendar and prepare the necessary documents well in advance. This includes uploading the NEET 2025 scorecard, income certificate, and valid domicile proof by July 2025.

AIMSET – The All India Medical Scholarship Entrance Test (AIMSET) is a national-level scholarship exam aimed at supporting aspiring medical students, particularly those preparing for NEET-UG or currently in Class 12. AIMSET provides a valuable opportunity for deserving candidates to receive financial assistance toward their MBBS tuition fees. This scholarship is especially beneficial for students from economically constrained backgrounds who demonstrate both merit and dedication to pursue a career in medicine. Scholarship awards are structured in tiers, based on the candidate’s rank in the AIMSET.

Top-performing students can receive full tuition coverage for their MBBS program, while others may be awarded partial tuition support. The examination not only serves as a merit-based assessment but also aligns with the academic calendar of NEET-UG.

Career Assessment Test

Application Timeline – The application and test deadlines typically fall before or around the NEET-UG result declaration. For the academic year 2025, the deadline was April 28, 2025.

AIPMST Secondary – The All India Pre-Medical Scholarship Test (AIPMST) Secondary is organized and conducted by the Scholarship and Admission Eligibility Testing Agency (SAET). This national-level scholarship exam targets Class 12 students from the medical stream who aspire to pursue MBBS, BDS, BHMS, BAMS, or BUMS programs. Held annually across India, the exam is designed to recognize academic merit and ease the financial burden associated with medical exam preparation.

The scholarship follows a structured, tiered reward system. The top 1,000 performers receive a full 2-year tuition scholarship, while the next 5,000 rank holders are granted a 1-year tuition waiver. Students beyond these tiers also receive smaller, yet valuable benefits to support their preparation.
