There is no fixed annual deadline for the West Bengal Chief Minister Scholarship. Applications are accepted throughout the year on a rolling basis. West Bengal Chief Minister Scholarship 2026-27 – Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the West Bengal Chief Minister Scholarship, an applicant must meet the following conditions:
1. Must be a permanent resident of West Bengal.
2. Must be studying at an institution located within West Bengal, after passing Secondary, Higher Secondary, or Undergraduate examinations from a recognised Board, Council, or University in the state.
4. For Postgraduate-level assistance: must have scored at least 50% but less than 53% aggregate marks in the Undergraduate examination.
5. Annual family income must not exceed ₹1,20,000.
6. Must not be already receiving any other government or non-government scholarship/stipend for the same stage of study.
7. An applicant can register only once within a 365-day period.

Documents Required for West Bengal Chief Minister Scholarship 2026-27
Applicants must attach the following documents along with their application:
1. Prayer letter addressed to the Hon’ble Chief Minister, signed by the applicant, with complete address, mobile number, and email ID.
2. Recommendation letter from the local MLA or MP supporting the request for financial assistance.
3. Family income certificate issued by a competent authority — Minister-in-Charge/Minister of State, District Magistrate (DM)/Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO), Block Development Officer (BDO)/Joint BDO, Executive Officer (for Municipality areas), or an officer of Deputy Commissioner rank or above (for Municipal Corporation areas).
4. Self-declaration by the student, stating the current course, year/semester of study, and details of any other scholarship/stipend received — signed by the student and countersigned by the head of the institution with an official stamp.
5. Admit card of the Class 10 (Madhyamik) examination.
6. Mark sheet of the qualifying examination — Madhyamik for HS-level assistance, Higher Secondary for UG-level assistance, and Graduation mark sheet for PG-level assistance.
7. Rank card of entrance examination (if applicable), for professional courses such as Diploma Engineering, B.E./B.Tech, MBBS, Law, Nursing, or Pharmacy.
8. Admission allotment letter, for the professional courses mentioned above.
9. Bank passbook — first page showing account number, IFSC code, and account holder’s name.
10. Current year’s admission/fee receipt.

Step 3 – Click “Signup” to create your account
Step 4 – Enter your mobile number and click “Send OTP”
Step 5 – Enter the OTP received, then set a new password and enter the security code
Step 6 – Click “Sign Up” to complete registration

Step 2 – Log in using your registered mobile number, password, and captcha
