The registration process for Delhi Scholarships for the academic year 2025-26 is currently in process. The last date to apply for pre-matric and post-matric scholarship for OBC/SC students is January 31, 2026. The last date for Delhi Scholarships offered through the e-district portal has also been released. Eligible students can apply for e-district Delhi scholarships till March 31, 2026.

Delhi Scholarship 2025 – The Complete List

The Delhi Government offers a wide variety of scholarships to support deserving and financially needy students in the state. These schemes are funded either by the state government or jointly with the central government. Below is a list of scholarships available under each category.

Delhi Scholarships 2025 – Eligibility Criteria 

Applicants must meet specific eligibility conditions to qualify for these scholarships. While state domicile is a common requirement, each scholarship has unique criteria based on its objectives. All conditions must be fulfilled before submitting the application.

1. Reimbursement of Tuition Fees to the SC/ST/OBC Students

  • The student must belong to the SC/ST/OBC category. 
  • Family annual income must not exceed ₹3,00,000. 
  • The student must be studying in a school recognized/affiliated with the Dept. of Education, GNCT of Delhi or Delhi municipal local bodies.
  • Repeaters of the same class are not eligible.
  • Applicable only for students of Class I to XII.
  • The student must have scored at least 50% marks and maintained 70% or above attendance in the previous academic year.

2. Merit Scholarship for Students Belonging to SC/ST/OBC Category

  • Applicable for SC/ST/OBC students pursuing education in recognised colleges, professional, or technical institutions. 
  • The student must have secured at least 60% marks in the previous academic year.
  • No family income limit is applicable for SC/ST students. However, for OBC students, the annual family income must not exceed ₹3,00,000 at the time of application.
  • Students who are already receiving a stipend from an institution or the government during their course of study are still eligible for this merit scholarship.
  • In case of an academic gap of up to 3 years, an affidavit must be uploaded on the portal.

3. Dr. B.R. Ambedkar State Topper Award to SC/ST/OBC Students

  • The student must have completed both Class 10 and Class 12 from Delhi.
  • The award is granted to the top-performing SC/ST/OBC student in each discipline of a professional or technical degree course.
  • The award is given only once, after the student successfully completes the final examination of the course.
  • The award is conferred among discipline-wise toppers across all professional/technical courses.
  • Since this is a purely merit-based award, no family income limit is applicable.

4. Mukhyamantri Vidyarthi Pratibha Yojna for SC/ST/OBC Students

  • The applicant must be a resident of the Government of NCT of Delhi (GNCTD).
  • The award is granted to SC/ST/OBC students.
  • The annual family income should not exceed ₹8,00,000 lakh, as per the EWS income limit, subject to exclusions notified by the Government of India. However, if the student has secured at least 75% marks in the previous class, no income limit is applicable.
  • Students repeating the same class are not eligible for this scholarship.

5. Financial Assistance to SC Students for Pursuing Higher Studies Abroad

  • The scheme offers financial assistance to 100 selected candidates for pursuing master’s or Ph.D. programs abroad in accredited universities.
  • The scholarship is applicable for the following fields of study; Engineering & Management, Pure Sciences & Applied Sciences, Agricultural Sciences & Medicine, International Commerce, Accounting & Finance, Humanities & Social Science.
  • Minimum qualification for Ph.D. is 55% marks or equivalent grade in the relevant master’s degree.
  • Minimum qualification for master’s degree is 55% marks or equivalent grade in the relevant Bachelor’s degree.
  • The candidate must be below 30 years as on the cut-off date of the respective year.
  • Total annual family income from all sources must not exceed ₹8,00,000.
  • The candidate must be a domicile or bonafide resident of Delhi with valid proof of residence for at least the past 5 years.
  • Only one child per family (from the same parents/guardians) is eligible, and self-certification is required.
  • Employed candidates must apply through their employer and submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC).
  • Candidates are not eligible if they have already completed master’s or Ph.D. at the same level in India or abroad.

6. Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme for OBC students (PM YASASVI)

  • The applicant must belong to the OBC category.
  • The annual family income from all sources must not exceed ₹2.5 lakh.
  • The student must be pursuing post-matriculation or post-secondary (college/university) level studies in a government-recognized institution.
  • The student must have secured at least 75% attendance in the previous academic year.
  • The student must not be enrolled in correspondence or online courses, if applying for the academic allowance.
  • Only two male children from the same parents/guardian are eligible; this restriction does not apply to girls.
  • The student must not be receiving any other scholarship or stipend for the same course.
  • The institution must follow the scheme guidelines issued by the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India.

7. Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme for OBC students (PM YASASVI): 

  • The scholarship is available to OBC students studying full-time in Class IX or X in Government schools only.
  • The annual income of parents/guardians from all sources must not exceed ₹2.5 lakh.
  • The student must belong to the OBC category.
  • The scholarship will be applicable only for pre-matric courses offered in institutions recognized by the respective State Government or Union Territory Administration.

8. Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme for SC students

  • The applicant must be a resident of Delhi.
  • The scholarship is available to SC category students whose annual family income does not exceed ₹2.5 lakh, and who are pursuing post-matric/post-secondary (college/university) education in a Government-recognized institution.
  • The student must not be receiving any other scholarship or stipend simultaneously.
  • All children from the same family are eligible, subject to income criteria.
  • The applicant must have a minimum of 75% attendance in the previous academic year.
  • Candidates pursuing the same level of education again in a different subject (e.g., B.Com after B.A.) are not eligible.
  • Students who have already completed one professional course and are pursuing another (e.g., LLB after B.Ed.) are also not eligible, except where dual professional course study is allowed post 1980-81.

9. Pre- Matric Scholarship Scheme for SC students

  • The student must belong to the Scheduled Caste (SC) category.
  • The annual family income of parents/guardians must not exceed ₹2.5 lakh.
  • The student must not be receiving any other scholarship funded by the Central or State Government.
  • The scholarship is applicable to students of Class IX and X studying in a Government school or a school recognized by a Central/State Board of Secondary Education.
  • There is no minimum percentage requirement for eligibility.

Delhi Scholarships 2025 – Rewards

The scholarships mentioned above offer different financial benefits depending on the category, level of study, and eligibility criteria of the applicant. Each scheme is designed with its own reward structure to support students in a specific manner. For a detailed breakdown of the Delhi scholarship amounts and benefits, refer to the section given below.

1. Reimbursement of Tuition Fees to the SC/ST/OBC Students

  • Students studying in Class 1 to 12 are eligible for reimbursement of tuition fees, lab fees, and library fees.
  • The maximum reimbursement amount is ₹48,000 per year, or the actual fees paid, whichever is lower.

2. Merit Scholarship for Students Belonging to SC/ST/OBC Category

  • For undergraduate students in this category, the scholarship amount is ₹20,000 per annum for hostellers and ₹12,000 per annum for day scholars.
  • Postgraduate courses in the eligible fields and other technical or professional courses are eligible for ₹24,000 per annum for hostellers and ₹15,000 per annum for day scholars.
  • Postgraduate science courses and PG diploma technical/professional courses, with ₹15,000 per annum for hostellers and ₹9,000 per annum for day scholars.
  • The scholarship amount for certificate-level and equivalent courses is ₹12,000 per annum for hostellers and ₹8,000 per annum for day scholars.
  • General education courses up to graduation level in arts, commerce, and other subjects are eligible for ₹12,000 per annum for hostellers and ₹8,000 per annum for day scholars.
  • General postgraduate and above-level courses in arts, commerce, and other subjects qualify for ₹15,000 per annum for hostellers and ₹9,000 per annum for day scholars.

3. Dr. B.R. Ambedkar State Topper Award to SC/ST/OBC Students

Career Assessment Test

An award of ₹25,000 is granted to the topper in each discipline upon completion of the degree course at each university, provided the student belongs to the SC, ST, or OBC category.

4. Mukhyamantri Vidyarthi Pratibha Yojna for SC/ST/OBC Students

  • Class 9 and 10 are rewarded with ₹5,000 per annum.
  • Class 11 and 12 are rewarded with ₹10,000 per annum.

5. Financial Assistance to SC Students for Pursuing Higher Studies Abroad

  • ₹5,00,000 per annum will be provided for Ph.D. programs, subject to a maximum of ₹20,00,000 for the entire duration of the course.
  • ₹5,00,000 per annum will be provided for master’s degree programs, subject to a maximum of ₹10,00,000, or the actual expenditure incurred, whichever is lower.
  • Financial assistance will be available for the following duration, whichever is earlier:
    • Ph.D. – 4 years
    • Master’s Degree – 2 years

6. Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme for OBC students (PM YASASVI)

Group I – Degree and post graduate level professional courses: ₹10,000 (Academic Allowance) + ₹10,000 (Tuition Fee) = ₹20,000 per year

Group II – Other professional courses leading to degree, diploma, certificate: ₹8,000 (Academic Allowance) + ₹5,000 (Tuition Fee) = ₹13,000 per year

Group III – Graduate and post graduate courses not covered under Group I & Group II: ₹6,000 (Academic Allowance) + ₹2,000 (Tuition Fee) = ₹8,000 per year

Group IV – All post-matriculation (Post Class 10 level) non-degree courses: ₹5,000 (Academic Allowance) + ₹0 (Tuition Fee) = ₹5,000 per year

7. Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme for OBC students (PM YASASVI)

Buddy4Study - Education Loan

An award of ₹4,000 per annum is granted as academic allowance to the eligible scholars. 

8. Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme for SC students

Group 1: Hostellers ₹13,500 per annum; Day Scholars ₹7,000 per annum; includes Degree and Post Graduate courses in Medicine, Engineering, Technology, Planning, Architecture, Design, Fashion Technology, Agriculture, Veterinary & Allied Sciences, Management, Business Finance, Computer Science, Post Graduate Diploma in Management & Medicine, CA/ICWA/CS/ICFA, M.Phil/Ph.D/Post Doctoral, and LLB/LLM.

Group 2: Hostellers ₹9,500 per annum; Day Scholars ₹6,500 per annum; includes professional Degree/Diploma/Certificate courses such as B.Pharma, Nursing, BFS, Para-medical sciences, Mass Communication, Hotel Management, Tourism, Interior Design, Nutrition, Commercial Art, Financial Services, ITI, Polytechnic, etc. (minimum eligibility: Class 12).

Group 3: Hostellers ₹6,000 per annum; Day Scholars ₹3,000 per annum; includes all general Graduate and Post Graduate courses such as BA, B.Sc, B.Com, MA, M.Sc, M.Com that are not covered under Group 1 & 2.

Group 4: Hostellers ₹4,000 per annum; Day Scholars ₹2,500 per annum; includes all post-matric non-degree courses after Class 10 such as Class 11 & 12 (general/vocational), ITI, and 3-year diploma courses.

Divyang students receive an additional 10% allowance.

9. Pre- Matric Scholarship Scheme for SC students

Scheduled Caste students studying in Class 9  to 10 receive ₹3,500 per annum as day scholars and ₹7,000 per annum as hostellers.

Delhi Scholarship – Key Documents

While applying for a Delhi scholarship, the applicants must keep scanned copies of certain documents with them. These documents need to be uploaded by the applicants as per the need of the scholarship to support the filled-in details. Below is the list of all the necessary documents.

  • Caste certificate (SC/ST/OBC — usually in the name of student or father, issued by SDM/Deputy Commissioner, GNCTD)
  • Income certificate (issued by competent authority of Delhi — SDM/Deputy Commissioner)
  • Domicile certificate of Delhi (issued by competent authority, Government of NCT of Delhi)
  • Previous academic year marksheet / all previous qualifying exam marksheets
  • Aadhaar-seeded bank account details of the student (bank account must be in student’s name or joint with parent — Aadhaar-linked)
  • Original fee receipts of the current academic session
  • Fee structure issued by institute on official letterhead
  • Certificate from institution stating no other scholarship is being availed
  • Aadhaar card
  • Gap certificate (only if study gap up to 3 years)

FAQs

Who is eligible to apply for Delhi government scholarships?
