About The Program

 Pre-Matric Scholarship for OBC Students, Delhi 2024-25 is an initiative of the Department for the Welfare of SC/ST/OBC/Minority, Government of NCT Delhi to the OBC category students studying in Classes 9 or 10 in Government schools. The selected students will receive a consolidated academic allowance of ₹4,000 per annum.

To be eligible, an applicant must:

  • be an Indian citizen
  • be a domicile of Delhi
  • belong to the Other Backward Classes (OBC) category 
  • be studying in Classes 9 or 10 in Government schools
  • have passed the previous class
  • have at least 75% attendance in the previous year
  • have an annual family income of less than ₹2,50,000 per annum from all sources

Note:-

  • Applicants receiving benefits of any other scholarship are ineligible.
  • Students who fail to secure annual promotion in the next class are ineligible (in case of unavoidable reasons, a certificate by the competent authority is mandatory).
  • In case of violation of school discipline or other terms & conditions of the scholarship, the provider may be suspended or even cancel the scholarship
Benefits

The selected students will receive a consolidated academic allowance of ₹4,000 per annum.

Documents
  • Caste certificate in the name of student or father issued by SDM/Deputy Commissioner (Revenue), GNCT of Delhi
  • Mark sheet of the previous academic year
  • Income certificate issued by competent authorities (SDM/Deputy Commissioner of Revenue, GNCTD) 
  • Domicile certificate by the competent authority (Government of NCT of Delhi)
  • Bank account in the name of the student (must linked with the Aadhaar card
How can you apply?

Eligible candidates can apply for the scholarship through the following steps:-
Step 1: 
Click on the 'Apply Now' button.
Step 2: Click on the 'Register' button and fill in the required details to register (Note:- If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID).
Step 3: Navigate to 'Apply Services' and click on it. 
Step 4: Now. click on the 'Register' button, select the Aadhaar card for the document type, and enter the Aadhaar number and captcha code. 
Step 5: Tick the checkbox and click on the 'Continue' button to register.
Step 6: After successful registration, log in using the credentials (user ID, password, and captch code). 
Step 7: Select the scholarship scheme and fill the relevant details.
Step 8: Upload the required documents in the prescribed format and click on the 'Submit' button.

The selection will be based on the fulfilment of the eligibility criteria.

Terms and Conditions
  • Applicants need to have an Aadhaar seeded bank account under their name.
  • Migration of students from one school to another is not allowed during the scholarship period, however, the provider may consider the exceptional circumstances.
  • Only 2 male children of the same parents/guardian are entitled to receive the scholarships, however, this restriction does not apply to the girl students.
  • A minimum of 5% of seats are reserved for students with disabilities and 30% are reserved for girl students.
  • Students studying in government schools under the Directorate of Education, Government of NCT of Delhi, N.D.M.C, Delhi Cantonment Board, and Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan must apply online for the scholarship.
