BOC Scholarship Odisha – Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following eligibility conditions to apply for the BOC Scholarship:
- The applicant must be a permanent resident of Odisha.
- The applicant must be the son or daughter of a registered beneficiary of the Odisha Building and Other Construction Workers’ Welfare Board (OB&OCWWB), with a minimum of one year of continuous registration.
- The applicant must be enrolled in Class 9 or above, or pursuing ITI, ITC, polytechnic, diploma, or other recognised technical or vocational courses in an institution located in Odisha.
- The applicant must have secured at least 50% marks in the previous qualifying examination. Higher academic performance may improve the chances of selection.
- The applicant must not be availing any other major government scholarship for the same course.
- The scholarship is open to candidates from all categories, including SC, ST, OBC, SEBC, and unreserved. However, priority may be given to applicants from backward and disadvantaged categories, as per government norms.
Note: A valid and active BOCW registration of the parent is mandatory at the time of application.

BOC Scholarship – Step-by-Step Application Process
Step 1: Visit the official website of the Odisha Scholarship Portal at scholarship.odisha.gov.in/website/home and navigate to the “Schemes” option at the top of the dashboard and click on it.
Step 3: Once you click on the “Apply Now” button, a pop-up will appear on the screen.
Step 4: If you are a registered student, then enter the valid credentials and log into your student account on the Odisha State Scholarship Portal. But if you are a first time student, click on the “Registered Now” button, fill in the required information and complete the registration process.
BOC Scholarship – Benefits
Beneficiaries receive financial assistance based on the course level, duration, and applicable guidelines. The support covers key educational and related expenses such as tuition fees, books, hostel charges, tools, and maintenance allowance. The approved assistance is transferred directly to the student’s bank account through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

Student who have applied for the BOC Scholarship through the Odisha Scholarship Portal can check their scholarship application status by following the steps below –
Step 1: Go to the official website of the Odisha State Scholarship Portal and navigate to the “Know your Status” option at the bottom of the page.
Step 2: Enter your Aadhaar number/Application number and click on the “Get OTP” button to get OTP number on your registered number.
Step 3: Once you enter the received OTP, you’ll be able to check your BOC scholarship application status.
