ITI Fee Reimbursement Scholarship – Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant must be a permanent resident of Kerala.
- Students belonging to minority communities such as Muslims, Christians (all sects), Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains and Parsis.
- Students studying in government-approved private ITIs in Kerala.
- The combined annual income of the parent or guardian from all sources must not exceed ₹8 lakh to be eligible for this scholarship scheme.
- Applicants belonging to the Below Poverty Line category will be given first priority during the selection process.
- In case suitable BPL applicants are not available, minority students from the Above Poverty Line category will also be considered for the scholarship.
- Students who are already receiving any other scholarship or financial assistance are not eligible to apply under this scheme.
- A total of 10% of the scholarships are reserved exclusively for female students.

ITI Fee Reimbursement Scholarship – Application Process
Step 1: Access the official portal of the Directorate of Minority Welfare of Kerala.
Step 2: First-time applicants need to sign up through the ‘Student Registration’ option.
Step 3: Applicants are required to complete the registration form and create their account login details.
Step 4: Now, the student can log in using the email ID and password created during the registration process.
Step 5: After logging in, the student must complete their profile by entering personal and academic details, uploading the required documents, and adding qualification information before applying for the scholarship.
Step 6: Now, carefully fill out the registration form by entering all required information, including examination details (register number or roll number), personal details and scholarship-related details.
Step 7: Now, click on ‘Apply for Scholarship’.
Step 8: At last, click on ‘Final Submit’ and take a printout of the application.
ITI Fee Reimbursement Scholarship – Guidelines for Heads of Institutions
Step 1: The head of institution (or an officer authorized by them) must verify all documents submitted by applicants through the online portal.
Step 2: It is mandatory for the head of institution to verify and ensure that the applicant has at least 75% attendance to be eligible for the scholarship.
Step 3: The head of institution must confirm the authenticity and correctness of all documents submitted by the students.
Step 4: Special attention should be given to bank account details, including account number, IFSC code and the latest bank and branch name, as any error may lead to rejection of the scholarship, for which the department will not be responsible.
Step 5: The head of institution must check, approve, and forward the completed applications within the deadline mentioned in the notification and submit them to the Minority Welfare Department either in person or by post at the Directorate of Minority Welfare, 4th Floor, Vikas Bhavan, Thiruvananthapuram – 695033. In case of any delay or default, the head of institution will be held responsible.
