- The scholarship is open to girl students belonging to the Muslim, Latin Catholic, or converted Christian communities. In some cases, students from other minority communities such as Sikh, Buddhist, Jain, and Parsi may also be considered.
- Applicants must be native and permanent residents of Kerala.
- The scholarship is available to first-year students pursuing undergraduate, postgraduate, or professional courses in government, aided, or recognized unaided institutions.
- Candidates must have secured at least 50% marks in the qualifying examination. This includes Class 12 for undergraduate courses and a bachelor’s degree for postgraduate courses.
- The annual family income of the applicant should not exceed ₹8 lakh.
- Applicants should not be availing any other scholarship or stipend for the same course, except for lump-sum grants or merit-based financial assistance. For those applying for the hostel stipend, the student must not be residing in a college-managed hostel.
- The course pursued must be offered by a recognized institution, and for professional courses, preference is given to students admitted under merit seats.
Note – Students belonging to Below Poverty Line (BPL) families or those with higher academic merit may be given priority during the selection process.
