CUTN samarth portal serves as the single official platform for admission-related activities including counselling registration, seat allotment, fee payment, and enrolment confirmation for all UG, PG, and Ph.D. programmes.
Also known as CUTN admission portal, all registrations, document uploads and counselling activities are conducted through CUTN Samarth portal. Students appearing for even semester examinations are also instructed to register online through the Samarth Portal. Candidates who have qualified CUET UG or CUET PG must mandatorily register on the Samarth portal after results are declared; missing this step disqualifies the candidate from seat allotment

CUTN Admission Process 2026 – Steps to Apply Online
Below mentioned is the step-by-step Central University of Tamil Nadu admission process 2026.
Step 1 – Visit the official CUTN Samarth admission portal and click on ‘New Candidate Registration’. Select the programme level – UG, Integrated UG, PG or Ph.D. from the dropdown menu.
Step 2 – Enter your name, registered email ID, CUET roll number or application number, date of birth and captcha. Click ‘Register’ and log in using the credentials generated.
Step 3 – Fill in personal details, academic qualifications and course preferences. Upload all required documents. If your final marksheet is awaited, upload an undertaking in the format prescribed by CUTN.
Step 4 – Pay the counselling/application registration fee online through UPI, net banking, debit card or credit card.
Step 5 – CUTN releases course-wise merit lists based on CUET scores. Selected candidates are called for counselling, document verification, and seat allotment. CUTN usually conducts 2–3 counselling rounds, followed by spot rounds if required.
Step 6 – After seat allotment, confirm admission by paying the full programme fee within the given deadline. Submit original documents and complete all admission formalities either online or through physical verification on campus as required.
Note – The application fee for UG/CUET-UG/NCET is ₹250 for General/OBC-NCL/EWS candidates and ₹150 for SC/ST candidates. PwD and Transgender applicants are exempt. For Ph.D./CUTN-RET, the fee is ₹2,360 for General/OBC/EWS and ₹1,770 for SC/ST. Save the payment receipt.
