Eligibility for BHU Admission 2026 differs from one programme to another. Candidates must check the programme-wise requirements before filling the BHU admission form. The table below outlines the general eligibility criteria for UG and PG admissions:

BHU Admission 2026 for Foreign Nationals
For undergraduate programmes, up to 25% supernumerary seats are reserved for foreign nationals. For postgraduate programmes, 15% supernumerary seats are reserved for foreign nationals.

BHU Admission Process 2026 – Step-by-Step Guide
How to Apply for BHU Admission 2026
Step 1: Check Course Eligibility – Before applying, candidates must read the BHU UG or PG admission bulletin and confirm the eligibility, age limit, qualifying marks, subject requirement and CUET paper code for their chosen course.
Step 2: Register for CUET – UG applicants must register for CUET-UG 2026 through the NTA CUET-UG portal. PG applicants must register for CUET-PG 2026 through the NTA CUET-PG portal.
Step 3: Appear for the Entrance Exam – Candidates must appear for the relevant CUET paper. Some BHU courses may require practical or physical tests, or GD-PI rounds, in addition to CUET scores.
Step 4: Register for BHU CAP 2026 – After appearing for CUET, candidates must register separately on BHU admission portal. UG candidates must apply through CAP-UG 2026, while PG candidates must apply through CAP-PG 2026.
Step 5: Fill Programme and Location Preferences – Candidates must select their preferred programmes and locations, including the main campus, Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Rajiv Gandhi South Campus, and colleges granted privileges by BHU, wherever applicable.
Step 6: Upload Documents – Candidates must upload academic documents and, if applicable, valid category/quota certificates. Details entered in CUET, such as name, photograph, signature, registered email and mobile number, may auto-populate in the CAP application and cannot be edited.
Step 7: Seat Allotment and Admission Confirmation – BHU cutoff and merit list will be released based on CUET merit, programme eligibility, category, seat availability, and other admission rules. Candidates must complete fee payment and document verification within the prescribed deadline to confirm admission.
