New Delhi, 22 November 2021 – The registration for various scholarships offered by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) will conclude on November 30, 2021. Interested candidates can apply on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) to qualify for these scholarships.
As per AICTE, applications are welcome for AICTE Pragati scholarship, AICTE Saksham scholarship, AICTE SWANATH scholarship, and AICTE PG scholarship. For the first three scholarships, candidates can apply on NSP as stated above. However, for the AICTE PG scholarship, students need to apply on the council’s official website.
What are AICTE Scholarships 2021-22?
These scholarships are financial aid provided to needy students under the Students Development schemes run by the Government of India.
Currently, there are four AICTE scholarships that students can apply for. The registration for all of these ends on 30 November 2021.

AICTE Pragati Scholarship 2021-22
The Pragati scholarship by AICTE aims to assist girls seeking technical education in India.
Some features of the Pragati scholarship include:
- Number of scholarships per annum: 4000
- One or two girls per family are eligible for the scholarship, where family income is less than INR 8 lakh/annum.
- Candidates are selected based on merit and should have been admitted to the 1st year of either a technical degree or diploma in an AICTE-approved institute.
- Students receive a tuition fee of up to INR 30,000/year along with INR 2000/month for 10 months each year.

AICTE Saksham Scholarship 2021-22
The Saksham scholarship aims to provide encouragement and support to specially-abled students seeking technical education in India.
Some features of the Saksham scholarship include:
- Number of scholarships per annum: 1000 (500 for degree and 500 for diploma courses)
- Students with not less than 40% disability, where family income is less than INR 8 lakh/annum, are eligible for the aid.
- Candidates are selected based on merit and should have been admitted to the 1st year of either a technical degree or diploma in an AICTE-approved institute.
- Students receive a tuition fee of up to INR 30,000/year along with INR 2000/month for 10 months each year.

AICTE SWANATH Scholarship 2021-22
The SWANATH scholarship aims to assist children who have lost a parent (or both) to the COVID-19 pandemic. The aid is also given to children whose parents (one or both) have been martyred while serving in armed forces or central paramilitary forces.
Some features of the SWANATH scholarship include:
- Number of scholarships per annum: 2000 (1000 for degree and 1000 for diploma courses)
- Only those students are eligible where family income is less than INR 8 lakh/annum.
- Candidates are selected based on merit and should have been admitted to the 1st year of either a technical degree or diploma in an AICTE-approved institute.
- Students receive a scholarship of INR 50,000/year for tuition, stationery, books, and other expenses.

AICTE PG Scholarship 2021-22
The PG scholarship aims to assist students who have qualified GATE, GPAT, and CEED exams to get admission in postgraduate technical programmes.
Some features of the PG scholarship include:
- The number of scholarships per annum is decided by AICTE, based on the approved number of admissions in PG programmes.
- Only those students who have cracked GATE, GPAT, or CEED are eligible.
- Candidates are selected based on merit and should have been admitted to AICTE-approved PG programmes.
- Students receive a tuition fee of INR 12,400/month for 24 months.
