NMMS Gujarat 2025 – Eligibility Criteria

The students must fulfill the following eligibility requirements as mentioned below. 

  • Applicants must be pursuing studies in Class 8. 
  • Students must be enrolled in a government primary school, local body school, or primary school receiving grants.
  • Students must have scored 55% or equivalent marks in Class 7 (for General and Other Backward Category) and 50% or equivalent marks (for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe category).
  • The annual family income must be less than ₹3,50,000 per annum. 

(Note: Private Schools (Private Schools/Self-Financed Schools), Kendriya Vidyalaya, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya and Schools which provide facilities for accommodation, study and study are funded by the Central/State Government and  students of residential schools run by institutions will not be eligible to apply for this examination.)

NMMS Gujarat 2025 – Classification of Physically Handicapped (PH) Categories 

Career Assessment Test

The classification of Physically Handicapped (PH) Categories include the following:

  • Blindness and Low Vision (BLV)
  • Deaf and hard of hearing (DH)
  • Locomotor disability including cerebral palsy, leprosy cured, dwarfism, acid attack victims and muscular dystrophy (LD)
  • Autism, intellectual disabilities, specific learning disability and mental illness (AID)
  • Multiple disabilities from amongst persons under clauses (a) to (d) including deaf-blindness in the posts identified for each disabilities (MD)

Qualifying Marks – For General and OBC category – 40% | For SC and ST category – 32% 

  • The medium of examination will be English and Gujarati as opted by the students. 
  • Every question in the test paper will have one mark each.
  • There will be no negative marking. 
  • Blind students will be eligible to get additional time of 30 minutes to complete the exam.

NMMS Gujarat 2025 – Examination Centre

As per the official notification, examination centers will be allotted to taluka classes keeping in mind up to 300 students. If the number of students is less than this then the examination center will be allotted in the nearest taluka.
