UP Scholarship 2026-27 – Eligibility Criteria
All applicants must be citizens of India and permanent residents of Uttar Pradesh, enrolled in a recognised school, college or university. The scholarship is granted only once for a given course, and students already availing another scholarship are not eligible.
प्री-मैट्रिक स्कॉलरशिप (कक्षा 9 और 10) – सामान्य, SC और ST

UP Post-Matric Scholarship Benefits 2026-27
Post-Matric Scholarship support generally combines an admissible maintenance allowance with reimbursement of approved non-refundable fees. Maintenance support varies by course group and residential status. Applicants should not assume that the entire fee charged by a private institution will necessarily be reimbursed; the amount is determined according to the applicable government rate and verification.

UP Scholarship 2026-27 – OTR Registration Process
One Time Registration has been mandatory on the UP Scholarship Portal since the 2025-26 session and continues for 2026-27. An active mobile number and Aadhaar are required. Only one OTR is allowed per student; creating multiple OTRs may lead to debarment.
Fresh applicants can follow these steps:
Step 1 – Visit scholarship.up.gov.in and select One Time Registration.
Step 2 – Authenticate the active mobile number and complete Aadhaar e-KYC.
Step 3 – Generate the OTR and save the number received on the registered mobile.
Step 4 – Open Student Registration and select the correct scholarship, category and study level.
Step 5 – Enter the OTR, complete UP Scholarship registration and save the session-specific registration number.
Step 6 – Log in under Fresh Login, fill in personal, academic, fee and bank details, and upload the prescribed documents.
Step 7 – Review every entry before final submission. Download and print the locked application.
Step 8 – Submit the printed form and supporting documents to the school or institution within the specified timeline.
UP Scholarship renewal applicants should use Renewal Login, update their present class or course, previous-year result, fee and bank details, complete authentication where required, and submit the form within the shorter renewal window.

How to Check UP Scholarship Status?
Candidates who have applied for UP Scholarship can check the status of their scholarship application by following the steps given below.
Step 1 – Visit the official UP Scholarship Portal.
Step 2 – Open the Status section and select the relevant academic session.
Step 3 – Enter the registration number, date of birth and captcha.
Step 4 – Review whether the application is pending, forwarded, verified, approved, rejected or marked for correction.
If the status shows Pending at Institute, applicants should contact the institution’s scholarship or nodal office before the forwarding deadline. A submitted application is not complete until the institution verifies and forwards it.
For payment tracking, students may also use the official PFMS portal at pfms.nic.in and select Know Your Payment. Payment visibility on PFMS may appear only after the sanction and transfer process has begun.

UP Scholarship Correction 2026-27
The UP Scholarship correction window is opened to allow candidates to make amendments in their application form. The correction window is used to edit the flagged details, re-submit the application and generate a corrected printout. If the portal or institution requires it, the revised hard copy must also be submitted to the institution. Details fetched from Aadhaar or locked through OTR may require correction at the source before they can be updated in the scholarship application.
