The Bhumi Fellowship – Eligibility Criteria
If you want to avail benefits under the Bhumi Fellowship, you are required to fulfil a few eligibility conditions. These conditions include –
- Candidates are aged between 20-30 years.
- Applicants must hold a degree in Social Work, Sociology, English Literature, B.Ed., Psychology, Law, B.E., or B.Tech program.
- They must be aligned with Teaching, EdTech, or Systemic Transformation.
- They must have prior experience in event organising, club leading, team managing, or student union involvement.
- They must be willing to commit to a two-year full-time fellowship.
- They must be based in Chennai or are ready to move to Chennai.
The Bhumi Fellowship – Grant Details
What kind of financial assistance is being offered under this fellowship? The answer to this question is covered in this section. The fellows selected under the Bhumi Fellowship will receive a monthly grant of ₹25,500. This grant includes ₹5,500 for monthly allowances, covering expenses such as housing rent, laptop, mobile data, and reimbursements.
Upon successful completion of the 2-year fellowship, they will receive a seed fund of ₹1,00,000.
