National Scholarship Portal Last Date – National Scholarship Portal (NSP) is a mission mode project under e-Governance plan which is the one-stop solution through which students can apply for scholarships at all India level. The aim of the portal is “S.M.A.R.T”- Simplified, Mission Oriented, Accountable, Responsive & Transparent system for effective disposal of scholarship applications and delivery of funds directly to the beneficiaries.

National Scholarship Portal under the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, Government of India contains scholarships under 4 major categories: Central, UGC, and State Schemes. Under the Central Schemes, the students can apply for scholarships offered by 9 ministries of the Government of India to economically weak students such as Ministry of Minority Affairs, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disability, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Department of School Education and Literacy, Department of Higher Education, WARB Ministry of Home Affairs, RPF Ministry of Railway and MHRD. Once you are aware of the National Scholarship Portal last date, you must head on to apply for the scholarships online through the portal. To begin with, you need to register yourself on NSP through student login. Furthermore, follow the instructions given below to ensure a hassle-free application.

For fresh registration, the students have to follow the steps below:

1. Choose the state of domicile, scholarship category (pre or post-matric) etc.
2. Provide information on name, scheme type (scholarship or incentive), date of birth etc.
3. Provide information on gender, mobile number, email ID, etc.
4. Key information on bank account details includes IFSC code, A/C number, Bank name, and identification detail (Aadhar or bank A/C number).
5. Fill in all these details and click “Register“.

National Scholarship Portal Last Date – Renewal Process

The National Scholarship Portal last date for renewal scholarship remains the same as for fresh applications. The students applying for renewal scholarship can log in to the portal using ‘Application Id’ and ‘Date of Birth’ which they registered in the previous year. An applicant can also use ‘Forgot Application ID’ to retrieve their ID. Only those applicants would be able to renew who had actually received the scholarship payment during the previous year from NSP.
