MG University Kerala Admission 2026 – How to Apply?
Since MG University Kerala admission is spread across several portals, the application steps differ slightly by track. The general CAT-MGU (PG entrance) process is outlined below, followed by quick-apply notes for other modes.
MG University Kerala Admission – Step-by-Step Application Process for UG/PG CAP 2026
Most UG applicants go through UGPG CAP — the Centralised Allotment Process for Honours degree programmes in affiliated colleges. Based on the official 2026 instructions, the process works as follows:
Step 1 – Visit the official website at cap.mgu.ac.in/ and click on the ‘Apply Now’ button for the respective programme you wish to apply for.
Step 2 – Register online at cap.mgu.ac.in/ugpcap2026, carefully entering your Plus Two registration number, exam year, Aadhaar number, email ID, and mobile number. These details cannot be corrected after submission.
Step 3 – Select your preferred college–programme (Honours) combinations and arrange them in order of preference as your “options.”
Step 4 – Once the Trial Allotment is published, use the option window to add, delete, or reorder your choices, and correct other application details (except date of birth, name, registration number, email ID, and mobile number) before the registration deadline.
Step 5 – After each allotment round (Trial, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and so on) is published, log in to your CAP account using your Application Number as the User ID, and check whether any college has marked “willingness” against your options.
Step 6 – Carefully review the willingness offers and accept the one for your most preferred college-programme combination within 24 hours, since an unaccepted willingness lapses after this window.
Step 7 – Remit the University fee online (₹1,695 for the General category, ₹50 for the SC/ST category, as applicable to the current allotment round) and download the Allotment Memo.
Step 8 – Report to the allotted college with all original documents within the deadline fixed by the college, complete the admission formalities, and collect the Confirmation Slip.
Points to Remember
1. There is no provision for temporary admission — all admissions confirmed through CAP are permanent.
2. Once the University fee is paid and the Allotment Memo is downloaded, the accepted willingness cannot be modified or withdrawn, so candidates should decide carefully before accepting.
3. Candidates are not obliged to accept a willingness if the college–programme combination is unsuitable, and may instead wait for a later allotment round.
4. Candidates who have already secured admission (“Admitted” status) cannot participate in further allotment rounds or submit fresh options.
