2. Enter your name exactly as it appears on your Aadhaar card. Name mismatches between Aadhaar, school records, and the SSP form are one of the most common reasons applications get flagged as defective later.

3. Provide your Aadhaar number, gender, a valid email ID, and an active mobile number.

4. Submit the form to receive an OTP on your mobile number; enter it to verify.

5. Set a password meeting the portal’s complexity requirements.

SSP Login 2026 – Process for E-Attestation

For documents that can’t be verified digitally – study certificates, hostel stay proof, or marks cards from institutions outside Karnataka – SSP routes verification through a dedicated sub-portal: eattestation.ssp.karnataka.gov.in.

Step 1: Log in using your SSP ID and Aadhaar details.

Step 2: Upload clear PDF scans of the relevant documents.

Step 3: Your college’s designated Nodal Officer then cross-checks your physical records against what you’ve uploaded.

Step 4: Track your status on the E-Attestation dashboard. Only once it shows ‘Approved’ will you receive an E-Attestation ID, which must then be entered into your main SSP application before you can submit it.

This step is easy to overlook because it happens outside the main SSP dashboard entirely — students often assume their application is complete when it’s actually stuck waiting on a Nodal Officer’s approval.

SSP Login 2026 – Documents Required

For Pre-Matric Students For Post-Matric Students
SATS ID (9-digit, links to school records) University/College Registration Number
Aadhaar number and Aadhaar-linked mobile SSP login (if renewing) or new account (if first-time)
Caste and income certificate RD numbers NSP OTR number (if SC/ST/OBC)
Parent’s Aadhaar (for consent, where applicable) E-Attestation ID (for non-digitally verified documents)
Hostel details, if claiming Maintenance Allowance

If your college’s academic records are integrated with SSP via UUCMS or UNIDATA, several of these fields auto-populate. If not, you’ll need to upload proof documents manually.

SSP Login 2026 – Scholarship Renewal Process

Renewal is never automatic – continuing students must actively renew each academic year:

1. Log in to your existing SSP account well ahead of the renewal window.

2. Navigate the ‘Renewal for Next Year’ option on your dashboard.

3. Upload your latest mark sheet showing promotion, along with the current year’s fee receipt.

4. Refresh income and caste certificates if the previous ones have expired; validity is generally limited to one year.

Common Reasons Your SSP Applications Get Marked ‘Defective’

1. Name mismatches between Aadhaar, school/college records, and the SSP application form.

2. Missing NSP OTR number for SC/ST/OBC applicants who skipped that step entirely.

3. Outdated Aadhaar photo, causing e-KYC to fail.

4. Incomplete E-Attestation application submitted before the Nodal Officer approves uploaded documents.

5. Incorrect or mismatched income/caste certificate numbers entered manually instead of matching official records exactly.

If your application is flagged defective, log back in, correct the specific issue named on your dashboard, and resubmit – the portal typically won’t process anything further until the flagged item is resolved.

FAQs: SSP Login 2026-27

Q1. I’m SC/ST/OBC and my SSP application won’t let me proceed. What am I missing?

Almost certainly the NSP OTR number. Karnataka has made One-Time Registration on the National Scholarship Portal mandatory for these categories before SSP will process your application. Complete OTR on scholarships.gov.in first, then return to SSP with that number in hand.

Q2. My e-KYC keeps failing even though I’m entering my Aadhaar number correctly. Why?

The most common cause is a photo mismatch. If your current appearance doesn’t match your Aadhaar photo, or your mobile number isn’t Aadhaar-linked, verification will fail regardless of how many times you retry. You’ll need to update your details at an Aadhaar Seva Kendra before the portal will accept it.

Q3. My application status shows my documents were uploaded, but I’m still marked incomplete. What’s going on?

Check whether your documents require E-Attestation. Some proofs (study certificates, hostel stay, out-of-state marks cards) need separate approval from your college’s Nodal Officer on the eattestation.ssp.karnataka.gov.in sub-portal – uploading them on the main SSP dashboard alone isn’t sufficient until that approval comes through.

Q4. I applied last year. Do I need to create a new SSP account this year?

No, use your existing SSP ID and go through the renewal process instead of creating a new account. Renewal isn’t automatic, though, so you still need to actively log in and complete it each year, including refreshing any expired income or caste certificates.

Q5. My SATS ID isn’t pulling up my school details correctly. What should I check first?

Confirm you’ve entered the correct 9-digit SATS ID exactly as issued, since even a single-digit error will prevent the system from fetching your school, class, or father’s name correctly. If the ID is correct but details still don’t populate, this is worth raising with your school directly, since SATS records are maintained at the institution level.
