Umbrella Scheme for Education of ST Students Pre-Matric Scholarship (Class 9 & 10), Arunachal Pradesh 2024-25 is an initiative of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, to provide financial assistance to ST students of Class 9 and 10. The scholarship aims to support the education of ST students to reduce the incidence of drop-out in the transition from the elementary to the secondary stage. The selected students will receive a scholarship of up to ₹350 per month for 10 months and other benefits.

Additional allowances for students with disabilities studying in private unaided schools:-
The 'Inclusive Education of the Disabled at Secondary Stage' (IEDSS) scheme, run by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), offers financial aid of ₹3,000 per annum to students with disabilities attending secondary-level government, government-aided, and local body schools. This assistance falls under the scheme's "Student Oriented Component" and aims to support the education of the students at the post-matric level.
However, students in un-aided schools are not covered under the ‘Inclusive Education of the Disabled at Secondary Stage' (IEDSS).
Therefore, SC students with disabilities, studying in Class 9 and 10 in private un-aided recognised schools, will be eligible for allowances as follows:-

Note:- The disability as defined under the Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights and Full Participation Act, 1995) Act has to be certified by competent medical authority of the State Govt./UT Administration.
Eligible applicants can apply for the scholarship through the following steps:-
Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' button below.
Step 2: Click on the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details. (Note:- If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID).
Step 3: Navigate to the 'Students' option on the left-hand side of the dashboard and click on it.
Step 4: Now, click on the 'Login' button under the OTR option as it is required to apply for a scholarship on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP).
Step 5: Click on the 'New user? Register yourself' on the left-hand side of the dashboard and click on it.
Step 6: Read the details carefully, tick the checkbox, and click on the 'Next' button.
Step 7: Enter a functional mobile number, captcha code, and OTP, then submit to complete the registration process.
Step 8: Fill in the required details and click on 'Save & Register' to complete the 'One-time registration (OTR)' process. (Note:- This is a temporary registration number, students need to download the OTR mobile application for face authentication to complete the OTR process.)
Step 9: After successful registration, navigate to the 'Apply for Scholarship' option and click on the 'Login' button.
Step 10: Select the scholarship, fill in the required details, upload the necessary documents and submit.
Note:- All the applicants are advised to fill in the information correctly on the application form. Once the application is submitted, no changes can be made. Additionally, submitting multiple applications will result in disqualification.

Question: Who is this scholarship for?
Answer: ST students who are currently domiciled in Arunachal Pradesh and are studying in classes 9 & 10 are eligible for this scholarship. The annual family income of the student must be less than/equal to ₹2,00,000 from all sources.
Question: Are all pre-matric students eligible?
Answer: The scholarship is only meant for students of classes 9 and 10.
Question: Do all disabled students who are eligible get extra allowance under this scholarship?
Answer: Disabled students holding a valid disability certificate and studying in private, un-aided schools are eligible to receive extra allowances.
Question: Is the scholarship amount provided throughout the academic year?
Answer: The scholarship amount is provided for 10 months in a particular academic year until the completion of class 10.
Question: If a student repeats a class, will they receive a scholarship for that class?
Answer: No scholarship will be provided for repeating a class, once the student passes, the scholarship for the next class will be provided up to class 10.
