UP Government Issues Scholarships to 1,43,929 Students on its 71st Foundation Day

The key scholarships for which the students were given the financial assistance include –

• Post matric Intermediate Scholarship For ST/SC/General Category, Uttar Pradesh 
• Post matric (Other than Intermediate) Scholarship for ST, SC, General Category, Uttar Pradesh 
• Post matric Other State Scholarship for ST, SC, General Category, Uttar Pradesh

Besides the release of scholarship, the Chief Minister of the state, Yogi Adityanath also launched a distinctive scheme for needy students who are preparing for competitive examinations like IAS and PCS. Under this scheme, the deserving students will be provided free coaching for their preparation. Addressing the event, he said, “I extend my hearty greeting to all the 24-crore people of Uttar Pradesh. This land preserves the age-old traditions and culture of our country, and also played a central role in the freedom struggle against the British.”

Adding to this, he said, “We’ve used this opportunity to honor talented people who have contributed to the different aspects of the social life of the state. Departments like Yuva Kalyan, Dugdh Vikas, Khadi Gramodyog, Sports, and Krishi, have also honored the talented people of the state.”

The Chief Minister also announced the ‘UP Gaurav Samman’ in the event wherein 3 to 5 people will be honored every year for making the state proud in front of the country and the world. The selection will be made by a Chief Secretary-led committee.
