Uttarakhand Scholarships – Eligibility Criteria
Students need to fulfill the following eligibility criteria in order to avail the benefits of the schemes mentioned above. Take a look –
Pre-Matric Scholarship For SC Students (Center/State Sector)
1. The student must be a resident of Uttarakhand
2. Students must be residents of Uttarakhand and should be pursuing studies in recognized educational institutions (Class 1 to 10)
3. Students must have passed the previous year’s examination to be eligible for the scholarship
Pre-Matric Scholarship For ST Students (Center/State Sector)
1. The student must be a permanent resident of Uttarakhand
2. The student must belong to the Scheduled Tribe (ST) category
3. The candidate must be studying in Classes 1 to 10 in a state-recognised school
4. The annual family income of the student must not exceed ₹2,50,000 (This income limit is for students who are studying in class 9 and 10. There is no income requirement for students in Class 1 to 8.)
Post-Matric Scholarship For OBC Students
2. The students must belong to the Other Backward Class (OBC) category
3. The student must be studying in Class 11 and above in a recognised university, technical, management, or medical institution
4. The annual family income of the student should not exceed ₹1,50,000 per annu
Post-Matric Scholarship For SC Students
1. The student must be a permanent resident of Uttarakhand
2. The students must belong to the Scheduled Caste (SC) category
3. The student must be studying in Class 11 and above in a recognised university, technical, management, or medical institution
4. The annual family income of the student should not exceed ₹2,50,000 per annum
Post-Matric Scholarship For ST Students
1. The students must be domiciled in Uttarakhand
2. The student must belong to the Scheduled Tribe (ST) category
3. The student must have passed matriculation from a recognised board or institution
4. The annual parent(s)/guardian(s) income should not exceed ₹2,50,000 per annum from all sources
Post Matric Scholarship For EBC Students
1. The students must be domiciled in Uttarakhand
2. The student must belong to the Economically Backwards Classes (EBC) category
3. The student must have passed matriculation from a recognised board or institution
4. The annual parent(s)/guardian(s) income should not exceed ₹2,50,000 for Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST), and ₹1,50,000 for Other Backwards Classes (OBC).
PM YASASVI Pre Matric Scholarship Scheme For OBC EBC And DNT -Uttarakhand
1. The scholarships are open to Nationals of India only, who are also the residents of Uttarakhand.
2. Scholarship award will be given to students whose parents/guardians income from all sources does not exceed ₹ 2,50,000/- per annum.
3. The students should be studying in class IX and X on a full-time basis in Government Schools only.
4. The student should belong to either of OBC, EBC and DNT (who are not covered under SC, ST or OBC) categories.
Pre-Matric Disability Scholarship (State Sector)
- This scholarship is valid for domiciled students of Uttarakhand.
- The applying candidate must be a disabled student.
- The student must be studying in Class 1 to 10 in a recognised institution of the state.
- The annual income of the parent(s)/guardian(s) should not exceed more than ₹2,50,000 from all sources.
WECDUK – Nanda Gaura Yojana
1. This scheme is valid only for girls who are native/permanent residents of Uttarakhand state
2. Not more than two girl children (living girl children) of a family will be benefited from Nanda Gaura Yojana
3. To avail the benefits of Nanda Gaura Yojana, the applicant must ensure that the bank account is linked to Aadhaar and that it is not a Jan Dhan account
4. The benefit of this scheme is payable only on the birth of a girl child (first phase) and on the girl child passing Intermediate (Class 12) (second phase)
