Today, she has been able to set an example for all the girl students who give up their dreams and ambition with the changing life situations. Despite the hardships that her family has to bear, she is moving close to her dream of becoming a Software Developer every passing day.

Buddy4Study: Share with us a brief background about your academic and professional journey until now.
Buddy4Study: What motivated you to pursue a course in Engineering?
Mayuri: My dream of becoming a successful Software Developer has been the biggest source of motivation for me to join Engineering. I wish to work with big companies like Google and Microsoft in future. And I really hope that with the help of platforms like Buddy4Study, I would achieve this feat someday.
Buddy4Study: What were the key challenges faced by you during the course of your journey to reach here?
Mayuri: As I belong to the rural area, there are no IIT coaching classes available. Also, my parents were not financially capable of sending me to Pune city for studies. Thus, I decided to study in my own village without the help of any additional classes and facilities. It is well said, ‘When you have the desire to achieve anything with great efforts then success will be yours.’ Likewise, I proved this and achieved what I have today. I would also like to give credit to Buddy4Study for their assistance.
Buddy4Study: What has been your source of inspiration?
Mayuri: My parents and teachers are my sources of inspiration. They have motivated me every time which has instilled in me the confidence to face any challenge.
Buddy4Study: How has your family supported you in your venture to pursue this course?
Mayuri: My parents worked very hard to provide me and my brother with everything that we needed in spite of the financial constraints. My mother always sees her dream of success in my eyes and I will definitely achieve it someday.
Buddy4Study: How did you come to know about the Legrand Scholarship? What were the steps followed to avail the scholarship?
Mayuri: My brother told me about the Buddy4Study portal. He asked me to fill the form for the scholarship. I filled the form online and after the telephonic round of interview, I got shortlisted for the face-to-face interview in Mumbai. I never thought of getting selected for such scholarship but deep down somewhere I knew that my talent and hard work will be recognised. I am very thankful to Buddy4Study for this scholarship opportunity with the help of which I am able to pursue my ambition.
Buddy4Study: What are your ambitions in the future and how do you plan to execute them?
Buddy4Study: Any piece of advice that you would like to impart to other potential aspirants like you who are constrained by various challenges towards pursuing higher education?
Mayuri: My message for all aspirants who have tremendous potential but because of financial constraints are not able to pursue education is that no matter how worse the situation becomes; your potential and talent will definitely be recognised.
