PRERANA Eligibility Criteria

The post-matriculation scholarships under PRERANA are available to candidates who are residents of the state of Odisha. One key eligibility criterion for all scholarships under PRERANA is that candidates must be pursuing studies at the post-matric level in any of the courses listed under Group I, II, III & IV.

Group I: Graduate/Postgraduate level courses in engineering, medicine, agriculture and veterinary. Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) course, PG diploma courses in management & medicine, courses related to Accountancy M.Phil., Ph.D. and postdoctoral programme (D. Lit, D.Sc. etc.), LLM

Group II: Graduate/Postgraduate degree or diploma courses in fields such as pharmacy, nursing, paramedical, LLB, mass communication, hotel management, interior decoration, etc. PG courses like MA, M.Sc., M.Com., M.Ed., M.Pharma, etc.

Group III: +3 degree courses

Career Assessment Test

Group IV: +2, ITI, 3-year diploma & 2 years vocational courses

PRERNA Scholarship Eligibility Criteria 2025

Post-matric Scholarship for SC The applicant’s annual family income must not exceed 2.5 Lakh.

The applicant must belong to the Scheduled Caste (SC) category.

The applicant must be studying in a government or government-recognised private institution.

Post-matric Scholarship for ST The annual family income of the candidate must not exceed ₹2.5 Lakh.

The student must be pursuing studies in a government or government-recognised private institution.

Post-matric Scholarship for OBC/SEBC The annual family income of the applicant must not be more than 2.5 Lakh.

Buddy4Study - Education Loan

The applicant must belong to the Other Backward Class (OBC) or Socially and Economically Backward Class (SEBC) category.

The applicant must have secured at least 50% marks in the previous exam.

The applicant must be studying in a government or private institution.

Post-matric Scholarship for EBC The annual family income of the applicant from all sources must not exceed 2.5 Lakh.

The applicant must be continuing his/her higher studies from a government institution only.

The applicant must have secured at least 50% marks in the previous exam.

The applicant must belong to the Economically Backward Class (EBC) category.
