Post Matric Scholarship (PMS), Meghalaya – An initiative of the Department of Education, Government of Meghalaya, Post Matric Scholarship (PMS), Meghalaya is an opportunity offered to students studying at the post-matriculation or post-secondary level. The main objective of this scholarship is to provide financial assistance so that the students can complete their higher education.

Post Matric Scholarship (PMS), Meghalaya 2025-26 – Eligibility Criteria 

Meghalaya post matric scholarship is available for only those students who are residents/ domiciles of Meghalaya. Other important eligibility criteria are listed below –

Post Matric Scholarship for ST Students, Meghalaya

  • The applicant must belong to the Scheduled Tribe (ST) category.
  • The applicant must be studying at the post-matriculation or post-secondary level at a recognized institution in Meghalaya.
  • The applicant must have an annual family income of not more than ₹2,50,000 from all sources.

Post Matric Scholarship for SC Students, Meghalaya

  • The applicant must belong to the Scheduled Tribe (ST) category.
  • The applicant must be studying at the post-matriculation or post-secondary level at a recognized institution in Meghalaya.
  • The applicant must have an annual family income of not more than ₹ 2,50,000 from all sources.

Post Matric Scholarship (PMS) Meghalaya 2025-26 – Documents Required

The applicants will require the following documents in order to apply for the Meghalaya scholarship –

  • Passport-size photograph
  • One attested copy of certificates, diplomas, degrees etc.
  • A certificate (in original) of Caste duly signed by an authorized Revenue Officer, not below the rank of Tehsildar (mandatory)
  • An income declaration by the self-employed parents/guardians
  • A receipt in acknowledgement of the scholarship in the previous year (if applicable)

The applicants will receive the following benefits after the selection process – 

Post Matric Scholarship for ST Students, Meghalaya

The selected candidates belonging to the ST category will receive a monthly maintenance allowance and other benefits. Also, additional allowances will be provided to students with disabilities.

Post Matric Scholarship for SC Students, Meghalaya

Career Assessment Test

The selected candidates belonging to the SC category will receive the following benefits – 

  • Compulsory non-refundable fees including tuition fees as fixed by the fees/fixation rationalization committee of the State Government 

Academic Allowance –

 Note:- 

  • Ten per cent extra allowances will be provided for Divyang students.
  • Students pursuing CA/ICWA/CS/ICFA will be treated as day scholars for the purpose of academic allowance.
  • Students studying through correspondence/online courses shall not be eligible for academic allowances.

Step 1: Visit the official National Scholarship Portal.

Step 2: Navigate to ‘Applicant Corner‘ and click on ‘New Registration‘.

Step 3: Now click on ‘Click here for other Scholarship Schemes hosted on NSP for AY 2025-26‘.

Step 4: Read the guidelines carefully, select the undertaking, and ‘Continue‘. 

Step 5: Select the state of domicile, scholarship category (pre-matric), scheme type (scholarship scheme), and gender, and write the applicant’s name, date of birth, mobile number, and email ID.

Step 6: Provide the bank details (Bank name, IFSC Code, Account Number)

Step 7: Select Aadhaar or Bank Account Number as identification detail and click on the ‘Register’ button.

Step 8: The mobile number will be verified and an OTP will be generated.

Step 9: Now, log in using OTP and fill out the application form.

Step 10: After successful submission of the application form, an application ID and password will be generated which can be used for future references.

Note: All the applicants are advised to fill out the form correctly, no changes can be made once submitted. The applicants are also advised to fill in only one application as multiple applications will cancel the form.
